Probably like 7-9. It would take Hatton a few rounds to get inside of Khan's range and handspeed. By the mid rounds, Khan will already start to slow down, and Hatton would get inside more and more. By around the 8th or 9th Khan would be a sitting duck for Hatton's punishment and Khan would get stopped.
This is a good matchup. haven't seen it before. I'm not so certain that Hatton stops him. I think its a 50-50 fight.
Y'all severely underrate khan. Of course it's always possible for khan to be knocked out but Hatton wasn't a big puncher. Khans is so much faster and rangier than Hatton and has more power. Interesting that slice recognizes this too and picked Khan by slaughter. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. It could go either way.
Khan's speed is only effective for so long. And Hatton had fast enough feet to cut him off and prevent him from moving. Hatton wasn't a huge puncher, but he still had enough pop to eventually stop Khan with his teenage girl of a chin. Hatton has gone from overrated in one thread where people pick him over Cotto, to now underrate where you pick Khan to beat him. Prime Hatton is NOT losing to fucking Amir Khan.
It doesn't take a lot of pressure to get Khan out of his gameplan and have him resort to his poor instincts/habits. Ricky's footspeed is way too quick and he'll close the distance on Khan. Hatton closed the distance on Floyd. The main difference is, Floyd is infinitely more skilled and tricky up close than Khan is.
Slice was about the biggest Amir Khan fan in the world and hates Ricky Hatton. He would pick Khan to beat Ricky 101 times out of 100 :: And where this idea that Khan has more power than Hatton has come from I don't know. Khan's boxbot flurries caught a lot of fighters cold in early rounds but he had no real power to speak of. MTF
Da fuck? LOL. Khan did not hit harder than Hatton. Both guys most powerful punches were their hooks to the body, but Hatton's was better, and Hatton easily hit harder upstairs.
