I haven't seen that much of O' Grady. Just the fights with Watt, Ganigan, and Fukiyama. He seems like he was good boxer with a fairly smooth punching style. Not the best skin and I'm not sure about his punch resistance. He was matched carefully for the most part in his first 70-odd fights, except when his dad wanted him to get rid of the pressure of keeping his "0", so he put him in there with Little Red Lopez. How does this one go?
You should watch the Hilmer Kenty fight. By far O'Grady's best performance, and a damn good fight actually. The full fight is on Youtube. I think the O'Grady from the Kenty fight would decision Frietas. PooPoo was more athletic, but O'Grady was much more solid techinically, and had better stamina, which would be the edge. Good matchup though, and it's never been done before.
Frietas never proved than he could stop any fighter worth a damn. Yall are acting like he was an Edwin Rosario like puncher. O'Grady took some really good shots in the Kenty fight, and took them fine. And Kenty could crack. O'Grady was stopped when he was a teenager by Little Red Lopez, who if nothing else is one of the best pure punchers the sport has ever had. Ganigan also blasted him, but Ganigan was a bigger puncher than Frietas also. I don't discount Frietas' chances completely. I mean, O'Grady was no great. But Frietas definitely wouldn't walk through O'Grady like he did those no-hopers he was fighting on the way up. FARRRR lesser fighters than O'Grady gave Frietas tough fights. I'd make Sean the favorite here, while saying that Frietas is a live dog.
