OFFICIAL DISCUSSION: Floyd Mayweather Vs. Conor McGregor |August 26 2017

Discussion in 'General Boxing Discussion' started by Rich ´Money´ Mustard, Jan 13, 2017.

  1. What do you reckon the top excuses will be from the bitter-but-hardcore boxing fraternity?
We should list them in a 'Late Night with Letterman' stylee.

  2. I have to tell you, I'm suddenly eagerly anticipating this fight. It's the sadistic side of me. I want to see Floyd administer a hellacious beating on this brash kid

  3. Don't bother watching then because that won't happen just like it hasn't happened for...how many years?

    Sure...

If You're NOT Attending a Fight Watching Party, You'll Peep the Fightbeat Thread OR Some Other Site for Information/Updates On It...

AND, You'll Watch the Replay the Following Week...

Seriously, the FACT You Care Enough to Post on this Thread Makes it OBVIOUS You'll Keep Tabs on the Fight Itself...

Everyone who likes fighting will watch or try to watch. Heck I even was amped for Christy Martin vs Laila Ali back in 2003. LOL!

Go figure. Whatever suits your agenda.

That's funny, because the majority of people would love to see the opposite.

  22. That's why all the hate is coming through all the time.
The fact that the upstart, mouthy UFC guy is getting his first shot in boxing at Mayweather is one thing, getting p-p-p-paaaiiidd US$70m is another, and the fact that he actually does have boxing skills & a legit left-hand that really could upset a lot of people.... all adds up to Xplosive-esque fear and hate.

Not to mention it's rubbed the boxing industry up the wrong way in that it's taken a UFC star to spotlight the 'Fight of the Century'...

    Hanz Roberto Duran

It hasn't rubbed me the wrong way at all. I love every minute of it. This is what is needed in fighting sports. Personalities.
This fight is happening because Mayweather wants it to happen. Mac was handpicked because he's going to make Mayweather $350 million for one night's work. Meanwhile the rest of the UFC clowns can continue making peanuts and begging on their knees for their 50K bonuses while Dana White plays craps with their money. LOL
The biggest winner here is Mayweather and he's got CMac doing almost ALL the promoting on his behalf.

  24. Wasn't referring to you (or anyone specifically on here....Except maybe Xplosive, lol) - and tbh, even though I'm amped for it, the Golovkin v Canelo fight is what I'm up for most...

  25. Hanz

    Hanz Roberto Duran

I haven't even clicked on that Golovkin/Canelo thread yet. I f*cked off out of here shortly after that abomination of a boxing match with Mayweather/Pacquaio 2 years back. Even the boxing community crapped all over it. Slystaff had his work cut out for him trying to defend Floyd after that fight. LOL
BTW, Federer bags #20 at US Open! What you say?

  26. We need to open a thread - start it after the Cincy Masters...I watched Kyrgios destroy Nadal last night - that's always fun.

  27. Hanz

    Hanz Roberto Duran

I missed that match! I followed it on live scores. Kyrgios choked when serving it out, the Nadal levelled it at 5-5 then got broken again!
They both played 2 matches that day. I'm thinking Nadal might've been a bit tired whereas Kyrgios is almost 10 years younger and hasn't played many matches this season and has more reserves.

Kyrgios is coming for some gs titles over the next few years. Too bad Dimitrov is such a bust, that could be a good rivalry.

  30. Hanz

Kyrgios' biggest rivals could be Alexander Zverev and Dom Theim.
