What do the UK guys on here think of this kid? I watched his fight with Ohara Davies this week, and was actually impressed. Looks talented enough that he might rise from Domestic level and pick up a belt at 140... with Crawford moving up, junior welter is gonna be wide open.
I hadn't heard of him before the Davies fight, I haven't been keeping up with the domestic scene much lately and I picked Davies to win as I'd seen more of him, he'd been hyped up a lot by Eddie Hearn so I didn't think he'd be in there with a legit threat. However yeah, Taylor was brilliant, took Davies to school and was barely threatened at all. Really nice fundamentals, very smooth boxer, will keep an eye on him definitely.
Yeah, Taylor is very good. I picked Davies to beat him but thought it would be pretty competitive. I thought Taylor would take on Burns next, but Burns has opted for Crolla.
Yeah Crolla is pretty average. A likeable dude with a good story but I'd pick Taylor to handily beat both him and Burns.
I just watched Taylor's latest fight against Miguel Vasquez on Youtube. This kid is really good! Potentially good enough to be the best fighter in the UK soon. I'd pick Taylor over any junior welter not named Mikey Garcia.
He is excellent, no doubt. Very good skillset and isn't afraid of a scrap. Could well turn out to be the best UK fighter of the new crop.

Yep, you're right, he is very good. Can't believe he hasn't had more hype, just like you said he could be the best fighter in the UK. Honestly, having seen Mikey fight twice now at 140, I am pretty damn confident Taylor would beat him. How do you think Taylor Vs Progress would go? Taylor certainly seems like a complete package. Big arse frame for 140, good speed, power, accuracy, defense, and offensive skill. Nice mix of patience and aggression too. Just a really good, balanced fighter.
Prograis vs Taylor would be a dream hardcore fight at the moment. I think Regis might be a bit much for Taylor at the moment, but we'll see how both pan out. If Mikey drops down to 135, then I'm confident saying that Regis, Taylor, and Lipinets are the three best fighters at 140.
Josh Taylor is the goods. I've seen him a few times now and have no idea why he is hiding away on Hearn C-level cards. He is the best UK fighter currently fighting IMO. MTF
Kelly has some skills but he's overrated as fuck and will get exposed when he steps up. Taylor is quality.
how do you chaps suspect taylor would do against a PRIME hatton at 140lbs.? you know, before he moved up 7 pounds and became shot against the GIANT mayweather jr.

Postol hasn't fought in forever, and a fighter with his style needs to stay active. I'm expecting Taylor to stop Postol late. The buzz is finally starting to pick up, and people are now realizing that Taylor vs Progaris is the best fight to make at 140. I like Taylor though. In fact, I forgot to put him on my current favorite fighters list. Almost fights like a white Spence in that he's an aggressive, skilled southpaw who likes to kill the body.
Good action fight so far. Taylor cannot miss with the left hand but Postol having success of his own. MTF

That looks a crazy price at this point. Taylor with some lovely inside work in six but it's been well contested in every round so far. MTF
