I just pointed one thing out. You said Floyd said McGregor was powerful, the truth is the opposite. He shrugged and said his power is merely "solid", and not enough to keep him from walking McGregor down. Basically a diplomatic way of saying he punches like a girl.

Yet somehow you interpreted that as Floyd saying Conor is a big puncher - that's pure, unadulterated nuthuggery

You also picked Conor to win, did you forget that?

 

I thought McGregor's jab was pretty decent.

 

You've jocked MMA so much in this thread that a few times I started questioning if you're really Dana White.

 

I don't think anyone will deny MacGregor has heavy hitting and angles, but it does not translate well in boxing as his footwork is poor. He leverages poorly. For sure, Derrick Henry would be best back in NFL if has space, but you use movement and clever block and suddenly he is captain obvious - but can't deny power.

You see for disciplined boxing, Alabama is UFC and NFL is boxing.

Conor landed on Floyd more than Pac and Berto cause Floyd didn't give a shit about getting hit, and he had Z E R O respect for Conor's power... which was the ultimate slap in the face to both McGregor and the MMA fans who thought Floyd would run in fear.

Obviously, trying to walk down Pac with no regard whatsoever for his punches isn't a bright idea, so Floyd paid far more attention to defense.

 

Berto's a shitty shitty fighter, but if NOTHING else, yes.... he has a very dangerous right uppercut and it'd be stupid to disregard it.

 

I gave Floyd a LOT of flack for the Berto fight. He should have stopped him, old or not. Andre Berto had no business going the distance with an ATG. Floyd should be ashamed that he failed to stop a guy that Soto Karass stopped.

 

In the interview I heard with Floyd speaking about conors power was that it was soild. It wasnt something he hadnt felt before. Thats why he kept coming forward. If it was that type of power he wouldnt habe kept coming forward.It didnt compare to canelo, paquiao, maidanas, or mosley.

A crude guy like Maidana certainly gave Floyd way more trouble than McGregor.

 

If Floyd fought Pacquiao like he did McGregror not only would Manny have landed more, Floyd probably would have lost. He couldn't or wouldn't do that against Pacquiao.

Floyd fought way more defensive against Pac. That's all that means. He had no respect for Conor and he's also much older.
