    Jaws?

    Raiders?

    Schindler's List?

    Close Encounters?

    ET?

    Jurassic Park?

    Other?

    I'd say Raiders.

Raiders. Shoutout to Close Encounters for having a selfish arsehole as a main character and no one noticing.

How many people have seen Duel? That's the most underrated Spielberg movie, and his first.

Had to watch this for a film class. Awesome tension for a really basic premise. Definitely worth watching.

I really hate having to pick the best Spielberg movie. Objectively I'd say "Schindler's List" even though it may be his least enjoyable, least rewatchable movie he's made. It's also fucking brilliant.

"Close Encounters" is probably my favorite but I might choose a half dozen other movies of his instead, depending on what mood I'm in. The guy has had such a great career, "Saving Private Ryan" didn't even make it on X's list.

My most under-rated Spielberg movie choice would be "Empire Of The Sun". Just a beautifully shot and compelling coming of age war movie, that's been completely forgotten over the years.

I didn't intentionally omit Saving Private Ryan. There's just A LOT of Spielberg movies.

    SPR is a masterpiece.

There's really no wrong answers, but I'll say the top 5 are Raiders, Jaws, Close Enounters, SPR, and Jurassic Park.

Schindler's List is a great movie, but the five movies I listed are definitely more rewatchable.

My all time favorite Spielberg movie is Close Encounters of the Third Kind , but his most complete, enjoyable, all around masterpiece is Raiders of Te lost Ark. Of course you need to give credit to George Lucas too as he created the character and the basic plotline. That was the team-up from Heaven.

His worst film has to be '1941' even though 'Always' was forgettable.

That a made-for-tv movie of the week and young Spielberg create a tension filled thriller that had viewers shitting in their pants!

His very first big screen film is the also underrated seldom seen The Sugarland Express which opened to good reviews, but failed at the box office. Many Hollywood pundits thought that after that box office bomb the promising young director might not be capable to direct a commercially successful film, but Steven proved them wrong when his next film, about a shark, made some money...
