Will Smith fantasy thriller movie on Netflix

 

Interesting mix of genres. Would have watched this in a theater.

 

Reminds me of 'AlienNation'.

 

Really cool movie. Fuck the critics.

 

This is an insanely awful movie.
Panchy is right - only comparing Bright to Alien Nation is like comparing Rainmaker to a successful brain surgeon.

It' so cringe-worthy lame, so slow-paced and so clichéd...I had to sit through it not because I wanted to but because I was perversely intrigued to see how bad it could get.

Consider:
* Will Smith is in it
* Suicide Squad director
* buddy-cop movie
* set in the future with elves, orca and the like
* modern-day 'Lives Matter' messages throughout regarding the LAPD


I recommend people watch it so they can use it as a new yardstick to what a bad, boring movie made today on $90million looks like.

Watched it on Friday night.
Realized 15mins in that it was sub-par but somehow git through to the end.

Rainmaker you don't even watch movies - you just troll about 'critics'

 

I watched it last night. Got 1hr and change in and turned it off. One of the worst movies I ever saw.

 

The worst movie ever made is the home-movie of Rainmaker, sitting on the floor in baby-pampers eating his Mum's shit.

Just an awful movie. I can't believe they're doing a sequel. What a horrible idea. What an awful movie. Just awful. So bad.

 

It was watchable. Would have been better as a series without Will Smith in it.

 

Unwatchable. Horribly dreadful and painfully boring.

 

The latter was the worst aspect along with the faux racism angle it portrays.

Yup.
That's why the 'paid-critics' argument doesn't work on this movie because it's Netflix.

And even though Disney are now in direct-competition with them, the fact they can pull all their content off Netflix means paying critics is a moot point.

Agreed that 90 million was way too much for this, but it's not as bad as its being made out.

 

Yes it is. It’s absolutely the worst. I haven’t seen it mind you, but I can just tell.

* Will Smith
* 'buddy cop' movie
* elves and orca
* Rainmaker likes it (but hasn't seen it either)

What more do you need? A kick in the thorax?
