Golota ko 7. I mean if Botha can take the punches and have an even fight with Moorer.... i don't think moorer hits hard enough or is aggressive enough to discourage Golota.

Andrew Golota mythical match-up are impossible to predict because he was such a fucking headcase. With other fighters like Tyson and the bite fight for example, you can write that off as an anomaly, Golota had these brainfarts all the time. Golota had the skill to beat Moorer, who wasn't all there in the head himself either, but Golota had the skill to beat other guys he lost to. Moorer for all his faults is better than guys like Grant.

Going back to my earlier point... I WOULD make Golota the favorite over Moorer in 96. It's just hard to envision Moorer taking the punishment Bowe took and not getting stopped. My only point was... Golota is NEVER EVER EVER a sure bet. He could fuck up anything.

As with most Golota MMs: he should win, but he'll likely find a way to lose.

Lewis was always underrated by Americans until he beat Michael Grant. Which is ironic because Grant was SHIT.

    I wasn't sure he'd beat him but I figured he'd give him a hell of a time

I can't pick Golota ... this would be a big fight for him, marquee... he always loses those and he'd find a way to do it here too

To be fair to him, Golota probably deserved to win the Byrd and Ruiz fight, and these were big fights

Whilst that's true, there was also the Brewster fuck-up. I'd have to pick Moorer, but it wouldn't be with any confidence.

Golota wins unless a world title is on the line.

Golota would have won the Ruiz fight if he decided to use his jab. You don't win fights by standing in front of someone not throwing.

Fucking Golota. That fight was infuriating. Then he bitched about the decision. You lost that fight you cunt and it's your fault.

My memory of Golota-Ruiz is shaky, but I remember Golota getting ROBBED BLIND against Chris Turd. Damn shame he didn't win a belt that night.

Sometimes I wish Ike had killed Byrd.

I thought Golota won both fights rather clearly

The Byrd fight he won but I'm pretty sure I had Ruiz winning. It was kinda like GGG vs Canelo. Golota being G. He threw a lot of half assed volume punches and Ruiz landed the flashy power shots.

Golota was thrown off by Norman Stone not being in Ruiz's corner, cost him the fight
