Hatton being faster would be problematic for Garcia. But Danny does hit hard enough to hurt Hatton seriously, I think. Ricky was open to counters on the way in and you just never know. Gun to my head, I go with Hatton but Garcia is live.
Hatton took plenty of flush shots from Tszyu without missing a beat. Mayweather and Manny hurt him with shots too quick for him to see. Garcia doesn;t have that capability. Hatton would have made Garcia look very, very slow. MTF
In Garcia's defense, he is a very sharp counter puncher. I'd argue a sharper counter puncher than a 35 year old, inactive Tszyu. Does Danny have the handspeed of a Floyd or Manny? Hell no, but he throws nice, crisp counters against guys who come forward. He'd land plenty on Hatton. Hatton fans act like his chin was excellent pre-Floyd, but the fact is, Hatton never had the most solid chin. So, I'm in the same boat with PR... Hatton a small favorite at 140, but Garcia a very live dog. It's not at all impossible that Garcia catches Hatton w/something big he can't recover from.
