bowe was a bully, he basically took advantage of much smaller fighters or bums. First good fighter his size almost beat him twice (golota). AJ stops him

And Bowe arguably had the best performance of his career against a bigger man (Gonzalez).

And who has Joshua beaten besides shot Wald? Was Gonzalez any worse than Dominique Breazle?

Right now, the Holy win alone destroys AJ''s resume.

The man has beaten NOBODY.

Hell, Herbie Hide was a better win than 97% of AJ''s wins.

 

He's only had 20 fights though, and any version of Wlad is better than Gonzalez.

 

And NO version of Wald is as good as Holy.

So as of now, if we compare both's best performances, Bowen has a huge edge.

 

You ALWAYS evaluate matchups this way. This guy will beat so and so because this guy has beaten better fighters than so and so has beaten...yada yada yada. I've told you repeatedly this type of logic doersn't work in boxing. Before young Foreman fought Frazier, Frazier had beaten Ali...Foreman had only beaten bums.

 

I'm saying that Bowe had more ability than AJ, more fluid skills, better handspeed, a better jab, a better chin, better stamina, and at least AS much power, if not more.

 

I disagree with that Bowe was faster and there is little proof of him having a better chin. Being floored by Holy and Golota is as bad as being floored by Wlad, and otherwise Bowe didn't fight many punchers. He was floored twice in his Olympic semi-final too

 

Correct. In fact Holyfield had Bowe hurt FAR WORSE than Wlad had Joshua hurt and Wlad punches ten times harder than Holyfield.

 

I'm unimpressed with Joshua''s handspeed, which i know is supposed to be one of his strengths. I definitely feel Bowe had quicker, more fluid hands.

And I have my doubts that Joshua can sustain the level of punishment Bowen was able to take.

I have an uneasy feeling about AJs chin. He better spark Wilder before Wilder lands ANYTHING big.
