By the way, I did it disgusting and so corrupt to see both the WBA and WBC come out in Canelo's defense. They're openly and blatantly giving him a pass. Fuck them.
The sanctionning bodies have been morally gangrened for a long time (hell, they probably always were)
I feel the exact same way, that's what I thought when the story broke. He hasn't proved a fucking thing to validate the tainted meat claims, and there the sanctioning bodies are going "Oh well, he's probably innocent, I believe him". WTF is the point of drug testing then? Just like Conte said, he should have to actually prove the tainted meat claim like some other Mexican athletes did, otherwise you'd have to classify him as a PED cheat, which is the whole point of testing.
Yeah it's almost on CUE that Canelo was already deemed "innocent" of all this before any formal investigation has been launched, despite failing TWO tests apparently. This stinks to high heaven. Even more suspicious than Floyd's "missing" post test urine sample after the Pacquiao fight. Clearly, Canelo has been using something, got busted, and now we have a mad scramble to cover it all up. Too much corruption.
It’s ridiculous and also sort of funny since Canelo had that beef with the WBC but they are so quick to suck up to him now. Of course, Doug Fischer from The Ring (G) is defending Canelo and even said (paraphrased) “maybe he was at a relative’s home and ate bad meat”
Nah, I'm pretty sure he exhumed Edwin Valero's grave, cut off his dick, and puts it up his ass everynight.
If they had a suitable replacement, they would kick Canelo off of the card, but they don't. Golovkin is a great synergy opponent, but can't carry a Cinco de Mayo card at this point, probably never. So, does everyone think that the sanctioning bodies should blow up this ppv, lose millions of dollars for everyone, piss off Canelo apologists, etc? Especially when GGG is not complaining? I actually wish they would, but I don't expect it under these circumstances and I don't even really blame them (this far out, minimal measurement, $$$$$$). Plus, even if they acted in the 'proper' manner and did suspend Canelo, it's not like people are going to say how honorable sanctioning bodies are. There are like 3 people in our sport who stick up for sanctioning bodies at various times. It's not worth it to them to try to double that number by making a correct, but disastrous call on Canelo under these circumstances.
You should read the comments as well how much he tries to defend Canelo, the G guy. Dougie's Monday mailbag (Jose Ramirez, Regis Prograis, UK's best, Canelo and jerk fans) - The Ring
