"Sinister" easily. "Insidious" seems like a boring, neutered version of "Sinister".

    Sinister by a light year.

Sinister was actually one of the FEW quality horror movies of recent years. It's actually pretty creepy and disturbing.

Insidious is incredibly overrated. Only recent horror movie I can think of that's more overrated is that piece of shit, IT.

Sinister is the better film, but I found Insidious to be creepier. The photos with the old woman nearby was creepy as hell as well as the final scene when it is revealed that the husband was possessed with the old woman.

    Insidious was a bore.

I guess it comes down to the lead actors... I felt Ethan Hawke was much better in Sinister than Patrick Wilson was in Insidious.

I like Patrick Wilson, but I think both the Insidious AND Conjuring franchises he is in, are giant over-rated pieces of trash.

Agreed. The Conjuring is shit. So is Annabelle.

Didn't even know they were up to "4". I saw "2" despite the horrific Rotten Tomatoes score and expected a comedic piece of shit, and even that one was IMO leagues better then any of the Conjuring or Insidious movies.

BTW, the absolute worst genre of horror movies has the be the "Unfriended" type trope that has become popular the last several years. Bunch of pimply kids chained to their computers shooting emoji's at each other, while a mysterious killer or entity picks them off one by one while they communicate through "Chatbot" or "Facebrook".

    Fucking awful.

Fuck, I'm already getting confused LOL. I meant "Sinister 2" had the awful Rotten Tomatoes Score. Still better then the other franchises.

Insidious has a 'Fright Night" and 'Poltergeist' vibe to it with the inclusion of characters Specs & Tucker for the light-hearted moments...which I liked.

I thought Oculus was better than both.

Yee, Oculus was excellent. Oculus and The Witch are the two best supernatural horror movies of recent years.

Did you see The Autopsy Of Jane Doe? It’s similar to Oculus with a cool ending. I also liked It Follows.

Saw both. The Autopsy of Jane Doe was solid... above average, but I enjoyed Oculus more. It Follows was also above average.

both are very good recent horror movie series
of course for horror movies anything above a 6/10 imdb rating is good

that last Insidious movie was ok, it just ended stupidly
