I swear, Linares has got to be one of the most overrated fighters of recent years. It's amazing that he's been considered a viable threat to Loma and Mikey. Who in the living fuck has ever beaten to suggest he can hang with an elite fighter like Loma or Mikey?

The man once got stopped by Antonio DeMarco. He went life and death with Kevin Mitchell. And most recently, arguably lost to Luke Campbell.

I think people have fallen in love with his fluid combinations, which hide the fact that he's overall not that good... piss poor defense, mediocre chin, marks up easily.

Loma will dominate and stop him.

he is a talented offensive fighter who lacks durability. im surprised he has made it this far after being stopped in japan and then by demarco. that said Id still consider him a good fighter. being dominated and stopped by lomachenko shouldnt reflect negatively on him. you got some here who think lomachenko is gonna dominate mikey garcia

I think Mikey would highlight reel KO him. Lipinets offered a stiffer test for Mikey than Linares would.

Id pick garcia to stop linares as well. that doesnt mean he is a bad fighter. garcia is a hall of fame caliber fighter.

i do think that matchup would be competitive for 6 + rounds, though. Linares struggles with southpaws more than orthodox fighters

I've always viewed Linares as decent, nothing more. He's always seemed vulnerable and his chin is very suspect. He has some snap in his punches, but nothing special.

Loma will absolutely cut him to bits.

I can't see Linares making a good fight out of it.

I made a thread like this three months ago and people shit on it, saying Linares is a legit top fighter.

Linares is a Viable OPPONENT for Lomachenko or Mikey, but REED Wouldn't Label Him a Viable THREAT to Either...

He's a Credible, World Class Fighter Who Would Be a Good Addition to Either of their Resumes...No More, No Less....

With Mikey at 140, Linares is the best possible opponent for Loma.

He is solid.. Nothing more nothing less.

Linares is a hell of a lot better opponent than Horn is.

What's Horn have to do with anything?

    This isn't a Loma/Crawford debate.
