You used to say taxi driver sucks what changed? For the record I watched it once long ago and wasn't impressed.

 

Never said it sucked. Said it was overrated. I still do feel it's overrated, partially because I don't like the ending. But performance wise, DeNiro gives arguably the best performance in cinematic history. THAT I've never disputed.

Pulp is even MORE overrated than TD, and TD is clearly the better movie.

if you weren't impressed by Taxi Driver then you don't get movies, basically. you just need to watch a few hundred more & spend a bit of time thinking about them, & thinking about life & art in general.

there are lots of fair disagreements in this movie forum, but arguing over whether taxi driver is a good or a poor movie isn't one of them

Watch it. I remember it being as good or better than snatch. I think it was better .

 

Snatch is great fun but just a big budget version of Lock Stock, I prefer Snatch but it's essentially a retread of earlier plot and bag of tricks
