For me T’Challa has to be Djimon Hounsou and war machine would be Morris chestnut. Will smith as falcon is good.

I originally posted Lance Herickson, but couldn't find any decent 90s pic of him. Then I saw pics of Liam Neeson and thought he looked better as Vision. So I posted his pic and forgot to Edit. LOL

 

This thread was inspired by the current internet fad of recasting Black Panther with 90s actors. I guess I am not alone on this.

all those picks from different decades look good - except keanu reeves as tony stark. it'd be physically impossible for him to play a character who's a cerebral, fast-talking, witty, complex creative genius

better tony stark from that decade might be 1990s-era mel gibson or john cusack

 

I think that Robert Downey Jr from the 90s still could have played the character. Remember he convincingly pulled Chaplin in his 20s. A 1998 33 year old Downey Jr is in fact closer to the comicbook Tony Stark age than at the actual age he played the role in 2008.

& gere's unsuitable as tony stark for similar reasons to keanu. whoever made these picks seems to have mostly just gone by superficial features like hair & skin colour

 

Yeah Emilio Estebez was a poor choice. More suitable was the then unknown at that time, younger Kevin Sorbo. He looked more like Steve Rogers and he had the proper height plus muscular physique too unlike Emilio.
