Floyd said last night that he and Todd DeBouf of TR had spoken about this fight. Both guys need to win their upcoming fights for it to happen.

Gervonta tweeted something criticising Floyd and Mayweather promotions, saying he wasn't ready for the Pedraza fight but won anyway in spite of them. He's been hanging around with Broner too talking shit about Floyd apparently. Basically Mayweather is getting back at Davis by feeding him to Lomachenko.

 

Bizarre. Why would he talk shit about Floyd? He was Floyd's boy, and being plugged as the next big thing etc.

What did he actually say about Floyd?

Anyway it should be fun watching Chenko school him.

 

Gervonta isn't impressive at all, and I think his power is way overrated. He seems to make hard work of every fighter, even "palookas". Still, to beat Loma, your best bet is to also be a southpaw, so Gervonta has that at least. But from what I can see, Loma embarrasses him.

The annoying thing is, I quite like Gervonta. I think he's talented and on his day is exciting to watch. It's hard to remain a fan of somebody who is so disrespectful to the sport though, and the blatant ducking of Loma got on my tits.

Loma would have to be drugged to lose to Davis.

 

Davis is talented, Loma is special. Gervonta has no shot against Lomachenko.

 

Yeah. Lomachenko makes everything look effortless whereas Every Davis fight looks like hard work for him.

 

Davis's problem is he is basically small for his weight class. How does he size up against Loma?
