Jermell Charlo to Fight Austin Trout June 9 at Staples Center I feel bad for Trout. He seems like a good guy, and was a good fighter, but never quite good enough to be elite. Had his one good night against Cotto, but that was many moons ago. Jermell is gonna beat him up bad, and after that, he should probably retire. But I dunno what Charlo proves by fighting Hurd's leftovers.
Why feel bad for Trout. He's fought on TV a lot and had some big fights. And a title. He has achieved more than vast majority of fighters ever will.
It's Hard to Look IMPRESSIVE Against Trout, Unless You Adopt Jarrett Hurd's Approach...Charlo Won't Get a Ton a Credit for Beating Trout Either, Even if he's Impressive in the Process... Not Sure Who Else He Should've Fought, but REED Ain't Crazy about this Particular Choice... REED
he was dominating the first half of the fight then got tired ( i guess) and trout took over the second half of the fight. pretty close when it was all said and done. one of the main reasons i thought williams would beat him
Same. It was really close. You can even make the case for a draw. There are some question marks around Jermall's stamina.
Haven't seen the Trout fight, but if either of the Charlo have stamina problem, it doesn't bodes well for their chances against Hurd. The guy is relentless
I remember being very unimpressed by Jermall against Trout. And yes, I thought Julian Williams would beat him in part due to that fight. Jermall has some good tools, but I wonder how he would do against someone who can relentlessly pressure him without giving him a break.
I'd forgotten all about the charlo/trout fight. Yeah i too remember thinking it was a shitty performance.
And Both Charlo's Possess a Style that CAN Be Reeled Into an Ugly Fight... Strange Choice of Opponent for Sure, Because Even if Charlo were to Dispose of Trout "Early Doors", the Vibe Would Still Be "So What, Hurd's ALREADY Stopped Him"... REED
