Doesn't look so bad, silly though and the main character is barely seen. Hmm...

Rogue One was good. Perhaps this prequel can be good as well.

Can you do a 'calculation' to explain to everyone why?

I agree, although I take that with a grain of salt as these new millennial trailers are created in a way that could make even a Transformer’s film look good.

If it has good ratings I’ll check it out because at least I can hope it’ll be a bit different than your typical Star Wars formula of Light Sabre battle, big space ship battle, blow up the latest Death Star or whatever enemy facility that’s a threat, rinse wash repeat.

The reviews can't be trusted on their own. Look at The Last Jedi. We should look at the audiance scores aswell this time.

Looks like it’ll be a Guardians of the Galaxy movie with the cast dressed like Star Wars. I wouldn’t want the actors doing Han and Lando impersonations but it doesn’t look like they’re evoking the characters.

I liked Rogue One and I loved The Force Awakens but I don’t know how they’re going to redeem the series after the Last Jedi and if this Solo movie fails the Star Wars brand is probably dead. The last movie will still make a lot of money but if it’s not straight up great then Disney’s rum will probably be seen as a failure like the prequels.

I think The Last Jedi has forever ruined the franchise. Rian Johnson should be strung up by his balls

    Yeah, Johnson’s an epic failure.

I don’t think TLJ would ruin the series on its own. I don’t have a problem with any of the decisions with the story that freaked a lot of people out. I just thought it was a really bad movie as a movie and it took the story so off course from where TFA had left it that the third movie is going to have to redirect it yet again.

Word. Even he has admitted that J.J. Abrams was somewhat puzzled that he deviated from the outline Abrams had written for Luke, Rey & Kylo, but didn't made a fuss because Kennedy loved what Johnson was doing. Hamill gave some statements before the film opened that he wasn't happy with what Johnson did to his character, "That is not my Luke" he said to later retract and giving full support to Rian Johnson. Hamill just said two days ago that he doesn't care about Star Wars anymore, hinting that he might not return as a force ghost in Episode IX.

I hope that film flops miserably.

It seems like Johnson was trying to one up JJ Abrams and show what an artsy fartsy genius he was. He also seemed like he didn’t respect the fact that he was the one making a sequel.

Snoke was a weak character to that point but the way he was discarded didn’t seem like some sort of brilliant misdirection, it was evidence of Johnson’s “Fuck it, this is MY movie!” attitude. I think he really thought he’d be hailed as the wunderkin that elevated the franchise to new artsy fartsy heights but if Disney has any sense he’ll never touch anything Star Wars ever again.

    Exactly.

I hate these artsy fartsy liberal go-against-the-grain type of Hollywood fuckers. STICK TO THE FORMULA! JJ Abrams set up something intriguing...Johnson just destroyed it for no reason other than to put a stamp on his own film and break with convention. I bet he takes it up the ass.

The ONLY thing that can redeem the Star Wars franchise at this point is for JJ Abrams to say "fuck it" and discard the existing Episode 8 and make a film that is a direct sequel to Episode 7 continuing his vision. That would be an unprecedented ballsy move and he would be hailed as the King. Shiiiiiiiit...I may try to contact him and tell him to do so.....

They don't. They are giving him full control of a brand new trilogy (probably 'Force Broom Boy'?) I'll never watch in a theater anything from this artsy fartsy jerk.

You are not alone in that, but unfortunately Abrams is not listening to fans. He has bought the SJW excuse/conspiracy theory that an Alt-Right group lowered intentionally the RT audience score because of 'too many women in Star Wars' bullshit. So I am not even a bit hopeful about Episode 9 which I plan to skip in theaters.

Well, well...after months of crying & whining about the demise of Star wars brand and calling for a boycott of 'Solo: A Star Wars story', fans are showing the power of fandom Force by...

...buying advance tickets to the 'Solo' film, doubling the numbers of 'Black panther' and barely failing to win the All the Time record from 'Avengers: Infinity War'.

So much for punishing Disney & Kathleen Kennedy were it hurts.

    Good job fucking idiots!

Is more like these hardcore SW fans are behaviorally conditioned like the Pavlov's dogs. I was watching a video from some dude of 'Collider' that after spending like 25 minutes whining and complaining about the irreversible damage that Kathleen Kennedy & J.J. Abrams have done to the SW brand and how pissed he was, he finished by saying he will still watch 'Solo' on its opening night, '...but I have low expectations!'

    Idiot.

'Soylo' is getting soy-so reviews, currently at 70% on RT with 77% audience that wants to watch it. The general consensus tags it as 'fun, light, but flawed'.
