Arguably the two biggest and greatest solo artists of the 1970s, they both put out great double-albums within 3 years of each other. vs One, a blind-blackie, the other a speccy-queer, but styles aside, who takes it with these two ´magnum opus´?
Stevie Wonder's weakest album of his classic quintet starting with Music Of My Mind is still light years better than anything the tedious, musically banal Elton John has ever or could ever produce What's next? Abbey Road vs. an album by Nazareth?
It's not that I don't understand it. I just find that more times than not, your use of it just isn't appropriate. It's just a lazy tactic of yours to try to reframe a subtle and debatable topic into a "no-brainer." And repeating it back to you may be the only way to get you to see this.
By the way, which is it? Sarcastic hyperbole? Or your actual belief? After confirming you believe it, you now say it is sarcastic hyperbole? You'll have to forgive me for not catching on.
As should be obvious, I'm saying Stevie Wonder is a vastly superior artist who made a vastly superior album All you see is "cdogg thinks Elton John and Nazareth of equal quality" because you're bad at stuff
No. What I see is what you wrote, which is that the gulf in quality between Elton John and Led Zeppelin is comparable to the gulf between the Beatles and Nazareth. That is absurd.
This one I actually prefer Songs In The Key Of Life: regardless of what cdogdirt thinks, this is Wonder's masterpiece, magnum opus. There's a bit of filler here and there but it's an absolute must-own for anyone with an open mind toward music (like me)
It's the weakest of his great five in a row Overlong songs, loads of filler Could've made one great record, should've avoided the double
Is it hyperbole or is it, "absolutely" true as you also say? Or is it both ways as you routinely prefer over having to admit to being wrong? Lol.
It's "absolutely true" that you are a massive bellend and it's hyperbole that your mother should've terminated you
And you'r wrong about Elton. From 1971-75 he hit a peak of creativity that only Stevie Wonder or Paul McCartney could match...
No I'm not... Elton John is as boring as it gets ... beyond pedestrian Bowie, Stevie, McCartney (in The Beatles) - all great Elton John? Zzzzzzz
Stop trolling... Wings is what the Beatles would sound like if Lennon and Harrison quit and Paul ran out of ideas and focused his attention on Ob la di Ob la da type material... oh and his musically inept wife inexplicably gets to be involved Just fucking stop
No it's absolutely dead on accurate Melodically, harmonically uninteresting and unimaginative ... bland and inoffensive, mundane... all majors and minors with a plastic aesthetic
Lol sorry it's just that we're usually sniping If we were sitting down together and I had a guitar and we listened to records, I could explain it better... you might not agree with me but you'd understand better than I can articulate here
