This guy is 50-0 after today and apparently still active. Since certain Floyd fan(s) have told us that numbers matter more than anything, is this guy #TBE, if he wins once more and retires?

He need to post the cars, cribs, and private jets on Instagram before we anoint him TBE. We'll also need proof that he beat at least one of his baby mothers.

He also has to cement his legacy by beating an athlete from a different sport.

Only casual fans attribute Floyd's greatness to his 50-0 record. I know I sometimes post shit like "50-0", "TBE" etc but that's just trolling and playing along with my forum stereotype. Plus I always found it ridiculous that people were saying Floyd beat Marciano's record. Marciano's record is a HEAVYWEIGHT record, not a P4P record. It still stands. 49-0 is meaningless in a P4P perspective. Chavez beat that for one thing....wasn't he like 86-0 at one point? Duran's record before he lost to Leonard was superior to Floyd's numbers. What makes Floyd great is a combination of his achievements not just one.

Willie Pep was 135-1-1 (with the loss coming against a lightweight) and nearly killed in a plane crash before Saddler beat him

Agreed. If he outboxes Michael Phelps he's undisputed GOAT.

Willie Pep was good but could he have beaten an undefeated champion that weighed 30lb above his best weight? I think not.

Yeah Duran was like 71-1 when he faced Leonard, with the lone defeat being avenged twice by stoppage no less.

Duran's record is ridiculous. He dominated lightweight for the best part of a decade, then moved up two weights and beat a peak, undefeated Leonard.

I often forget he actually beat up a few welters before Leonard, I always think he moved up, beat Palomino, then Leonard. But no, he was actually a welter for 2 years, having 8 fights there, before beating Leonard.

I agree with you that Duran should get no extra credit for questionably beating 'a bigger man' in Leonard

It's funny how every fighter in history gets credit for moving up in weight and beating bigger men but with Floyd all his wins above 140 are considered cherry picking and meaningless. You gotta love boxing fans.

The Leonard defeat was his second (Esteban de Jesus took his '0' in his prime years).

How many times did a pussy puncher like Dejesus drop Duran? 12? 8?

Duran is a top 20 type guy. Way overrated because he has a cool nickname and he lucked out against a true atg like Leonard.

That was another amazing thing about Duran, he was so good he barely needed to train compared to other elite fighters. A natural born god amongst men.

There's NO cage groupie who can convince me that McGregor could beat a young Duran in a street fight. It just ain't happening.

McGregor is a PRETEND tough guy. Duran was the real thing.

In a street fight, Duran would have McGregor begging for the Irish mafia to come shoot him.

What a glorious day that would be, watching Conman "PillowFists" McGregory get slapped around the ring like a red headed stepchild by a beast like Duran, his gormless, defeated expression as he was being marshalled around the ring, propped up, and beaten to within an inch of his life :D

Yeah it's so fucking retarded, the MMA groupies all parroting this "real fight" bullshit. MMA is not "real" fighting, in fact it's barely closer than boxing, if at all.

In street fights how often do you see two guys rolling around bending each other's toes back? Or attempting a gogoplata? :D You don't, you pretty much see them standing and throwing, like a scrubby boxing match. Ironically that includes street fights between MMA fighters.

Just like you said, MMA has more rules than boxing. In a real fight, you can bite, scratch, headbutt, suck someone's eye out, or stamp on their head until they're dead. None of those weapons are anything like MMA, so it's not like an MMA fighter would be any more equipped to deal with it than a boxer. Those things completely change the dynamic of a fight.

Any boxer that was just a more violent and sick individual than an MMA fighter and was prepared to use said weapons could destroy an MMA fighter and whatever jitz and wrestling he may have in his arsenal, and that's only if they didn't KHTFO with a punch first, which is quite likely.
