Well, he did get to become an undisputed cruiserweight champion and he pocketed about 40 million $ or so.

Very little is a lot for David Haye, very little is a lot

bullshit excuses now all over the internet about his "Body" giving up on him.

    The guys got 32 fights.

    32 fights over 16 years. It's exactly 2 fights a year.

    "His body gave up"...........bullshit.

He got smacked in the face.

The way he spends it........and has spent it........he will be broke shortly.

Why, afterall, would a guy who was supposed to retire in 2011 be still fighting against the limited likes of Bellew, who let's face it, is an intelligent boxer with a good acumen but really no world-beater.

First opportunity to use the word came when Haye took a trip to the canvas like he was paint...................but Adam Smith said "Jeopardy" rather than "Tatters"

Nothing wrong with Hayes body. He backpedalled very agilely into a corner where Bellew splattered him.

I honestly doubt this one happens. They legitimately seem to be good friends and AJ gains nothing in terms of smashing a cruiserweight who doesn't hold a belt.

Bellew vs Wilder is more likely to happen due to their grudge match and Wilder would be all over that fight.

Bellew said in a recent interview that he has no desire to fight wilder because he’s scared of him and knows that wilder will knock him out.

I didn’t see the entire fight and only watched a clip of the stoppage. Seemed a tad early to me. Of course I don’t have the context of the previous rounds. What did y’all think of the stoppage?

Just watched the entire fight, definitely a good stoppage. Based on that round alone it would have been a quick stoppage but based on rounds 3 and 4...Haye was done at that point and when you watch him post fight he could barely walk straight.

I used to call him David Gaye, but then it occurred to me that Gaye should only be used for Marvin Gaye, a legend.

    Haye's a fraud not a legend.

I’m impressed with Bellew. He’s nothing spectacular but has good solid fundamentals. Stevenson is too old now plus I don’t think Bellew will be effective if he goes back down in weight, remember what happened to Roy Jones . I have to say though that Stevenson KO of him is highly impressive in hindsight.

I would actually like to see Bellew vs Wilder. Bellew wants nothing to do with wilder but he has a chance to win, given how sloppy Wilder is. Of course it only takes one punch....

I agree it is actually pretty impressive in hindsight, beating Bellend fairly easily by stoppage. He did kind of make Bellend look like a British/European level fighter.

It is telling though that Tony immediately moved up to cruiserweight and started to look a lot better.

I would favour Bellend at cruiser or heavy of course.

He responded badly every time he got hit but has taken harder punches since to no obvious ill-effect.

    He was dead at 175.

Bellew is 6-3" and he just cannot make 175 with his body-type, which is naturally thick-set in the upper body, unlike say Bob Foster who had really a much slimmer upperbody.

Why would stevenson go to 200 to fight bellew. Hes a midget of a lhw, and he completely humiliated bellew in their fight. Weight had nothing to do with it, he just couldnt deal with the power and the counterpunching of stevenson.

Sad that stevenson choose the easy path, the bellew fight showed he could have been a great

Urmmmmm......................He should go there to prove that the Bellew fight was no fluke and that he didn't just beat a weight-drained shadow of the man.

It's what separates good fighters from great ones.
