Stevenson vs Jack: Final Predictions

I'm rooting for Jack for put an end to the Pimp's long reign of no-hopers... but I just don't trust Jack's chin. I'm taking Stevenson by stoppage.

 

Jack is very good, but I think he's a bit too hittable and chinny against a bomber like stevenson

 

Jack breaks down that fraud.

 

Rooting for Jack. Expecting Stevenson to win. Guy can punch.

 

Stevenson has the physical tools to win but lacks the guts, which gives Jack the chance to outwork him. Even fight with an edge for Stevenson

 

I see Jack's only shot being age having robbed the pimp of his explosiveness.

Jack is pretty overrated tbh. Sure, I thought he beat DeGale, but DeGale is a terrible fighter. Stevenson is a whole different animal than DeGale.

Gary "I make Keith Thurman look like an active fighter" Russell is also fighting on Saturday, but I forget who he's facing.

Can't remember if I've seen Diaz fight before. I swear, I don't get to watch as much boxing as I used to. Is Diaz quality?

 

Diaz is decent. Can't punch much so I expect a 12 round fight between two technically sound lefties. Russells speed should be the difference

 

Still crazy to think that Loma really made Russ look like a scrub in only his 3rd fight.

 

what is that absurdity. Stevenson has never been gunshy in a fight nor did he showed a lack of guts.

 

Just watched a few interviews of Diaz. Guy seems like he might be a 25-year-old virgin.

 

Agreed, you can question is out of the ring courage (and tyou'd have plenty of ammunition's to do so), but he never showed any quit inside of it. People like UGTBK let their dislike of Stevenson (and once again, there is plenty to dislike) cloud their judgement

 

I favour Stevenson to KO Jack, who is far from untouchable at the lower weight and I don't think he will have the power at LHW to discourage Stevenson

 

Stevenson punches too hard, I think. Jack is live, though.

 

When Fonfara fought back against him in the first fight, he was in loads of trouble, after controlling the bout easily early on

Yeah, but after getting floored and sensing he was in danger, he turned the heat on and won the last rounds. Terrible example

 

One more day. I'm actually pretty excited for this one. I was rooting for Jack, but then I realized, I don't really like him either... so I have no dog in this race. Just hoping for an exciting fight, which I think it will be. I still say that the pimp hand will be too strong for the Swede.

I think Jack will win to be honest, I quite like Badou, he's got a good ring IQ. Stevenson hits like a demon for sure, but I've just had a hunch since this fight was announced that Jack wins. Very underrated fighter.

 

Prime Stevenson wins easily imo, but at 40, a Jack upset wouldn't shock me too much.
