that's the scene....not so hard to believe - they're running at each other clashing swords, so the predator is not using any strength advantage

 

A Predator can take mini gun and shot gun fire at close range but a samurai sword is going to kill him?

 

when did a mini gun or shotgun happen?

you'd rather have a sword slashed across your midsection than be shot by a little bullet?

Predator 1 - he gets shot by 1 bullet and it takes him out..he has to use a med kit and screams in pain etc
Predator 2 - is worse than Predator 3, so doesnt count...he brushes off several gunshot wounds, then says 'motherfucker' and 'shit happens'
but the predator also dies by getting his stomach sliced, so it all makes sense

 

Predator 2 was better than Predators, IMO.

Secondly his stomach was sliced by his own weapon, that's teh point. It took an advanced alien weapon to take him down.

 

I remember watching Predator when it first came out in the movies one Saturday afternoon during a bar-crawl: fucking excellent action movie.
The second one, Predator II weirdly enough was in a packed cinema at Surfer´s Paradise in Australia with two girls from New Zealand: also great.

 

Danny Glover is an underrated actor.

 

Absolutely horrible film that had zero direction. At one point they bring in Fishburn and the film goes in a weird new direction. At another point I believe the Predators start fighting each other and they have those stupid dog things. Also what was up with the Predator ship all of a sudden taking off and trying to escape but the Predator blows it up? We never even knew who was flying the ship and it seemed like they wanted the audience to think Brody was in it but it turns out he wasn’t.

I don’t get how anyone could like that movie. It didn’t even have good visuals or action scenes.

What about Predator 2 where that one girl is shooting at him in his invisible form and the bullets are just bouncing off him?

 

i'm not defending Predator 3...but there's no denying Predator 2 is a cheesy movie with bad acting and corny jokes that fit right into that era of action movies...just watch it now and see for yourselves...the predator says 'motherfucker' and 'shit happens', and there's a scene where an old lady wants to attack it with a broom


IMDB ratings have both movies at around 6/10, which is fair

it's not about the attack...it's about the cheesy comedy thrown into it to make the movie even worse
what also sucks about Predator 2 is that out of millions of people in LA, the predator chooses to stalk Danny Glover some reason, and even follows him to a graveyard


i hope the next movie is more like Predators and nothing like Predator 2....it's also in the city, so that's not a good sign

 

He stalked Glover because Danny showed huge brass balls from the beginning and the predator had a certain level of respect.

In his Predator accent he was saying to himself "That old nagger really thinks he can take me. I like that. I'll let him live a little longer"

 

that part where the Predator dropped his gun and said 'oh oh spaghettios' was cheesy as fuck too

You’re clearly defending Predators and I would mention more shitty scenes but the film was too horrible to ever sit through again.

As for it’s respectable scores I blame that on millennials. I’m pretty sure The Transformers movies have respectable scores too so it means fuck all. Translation: Predators sucks sci fi space balls.
