Kell Brook vs Prime Margarito

Marg break down that fragile ass lispy brit

 

I can’t help but feel Margarito would break him down. Pre-Cotto 1 versión that is.

Brook probably beats any version of Marg post Cotto. The Margarito who fought Mosley was on the slide.

 

Pretty good fight. Margarito can take a bigger beating than Brook but can he deliver enough against Kell?

 

I don't know. Is margarito any good without his wraps?

 

Margarito wouldn't be able to be the bigger man against a guy who out-weighs Triple G on fight night

 

I think at his best Margarito beats Brook but it's close. Brook is a bit too conventional and doesn't have the motor or handspeed to keep Margarito off him all night. There's a chance that he busts Margarito up and forces a stoppage but I think Margarito grinds it out.

 

Yeah, somebody SLID his wraps off before the fight.

 

I think the punishment Margarito took in that first Cotto fight affected him too.

Plus, I’m sure he was living it up in the months after and was likely not in great shape going into that fight with Mosley. That’s probably what lead them to try something sneaky.

Still not convinced 100% that Margarito had illegal hand wraps for his whole career.If he did, why wasn’t he knocking out people left and right in devastating fashion?

 

Wraps and Bare knuckles don't make you KO guys, they just help you bust them up a bit easier.

 

Exactly. Also helps with stamina. Can throw hurtful punches without exertig yourself too much.
