ok buddy. top rank has done about as well as one can expect for crawford. if you want to blame them for other black fighters in the past thats a different story.

they pushed to get him the fight vs pacquiao that would help him cross over. its not their fault pacquiao dont want it.

they got the guy an immediate title shot vs a made to order opponent for twice, almost 3 times, what he has made for any other fight in his career. they are not pushing him as hard as they are lomachenko, that is true. it also could have something to do with the platform (espn) preferring to push lomachenko, who you seem to admit has more star potential. on top of all that, crawford is a surly, assholish guy when it comes to granting access to media.

So it's Crawford's Fault Arum Can't Promote Him Properly???...

You Realize That's Basically the SAME Shit Arum Said about Floyd, Right???...

Neil does have a point that Crawford is not exactly the most likeable guy outside the ring, at all. A promoter can't promote a plank of wood and make people like them.

These days it seems a fighter really needs to promote himself to become hugely popular, Floyd being the prime example, then the Floyd copycats that followed like Broner and Pillowfists McGregory.

if he werent being promoted properly perhaps you'd have a point.

I realize i am basing the statement on what people other than arum are saying about crawford. Ive never heard arum say anything bad about him.

arum says crawford will be back in october on ESPN.

For cdogg, Xplosive, and all my other boxing brethren - have you guys checked out any real fighting recently?

I did watch some UFC recently - or as I prefer to call it, Real Fighting Championship - and I thought I would share it with you guys.

Here is the current 155 pound Real Fighting Champion in action, showing us his real fighting skills.

Here is the current 145 pound real fighting champion showing us what real fighting is all about, the sheer accuracy and brutality, I mean, wow!

Here is the current 205 pound champion, ready to make his move to heavyweight, once again showing us what real fighting is about.

WMMA or female real fighting is a big thing now, have any of you guys watched it? Here is a glimpse.

There was an awesome real fight on saturday too, in Real Fighting Championship, where the best fight the best. Does it get any more real than this?

The answer is yes - this is as real as it gets fellas.

    That's actually a good post.
At least you realize it's fighting....and boxing isn't fighting.

Put any of those above in fight with someone like Genady Gollumkin and it's 'Quádruplo-G...."Goodbye!"

Georges St-Pierre for exemple, would literally crush Sergei Kovalev like a Coke-can

GSP is actually one of my favourite MMA fighters alongside Romero and Fat Little Kelvin, but no, he would get knocked out cold Vs prime Kovalev.

We're talking about a guy who tapped to strikes against Matt Serra Vs a guy who literally beat a guy to death in the ring.

And to illustrate just how far the UFC is from real fighting, what do you think would have happened on Saturday if Romero Vs Whittaker was a real fight?

Whittaker would probably be dead, that's what. Romero would have stomped him, kicked him in the head, elbowed the back of his head, done whatever the fuck he wanted to him when he was badly hurt - but instead Whittaker got to turtle up and take advantage of one of the many rules in MMA, and walk away with a split decision "win".

It's no more of a real fight than boxing, and you have to be a proper fucking idiot to think otherwise.

    Why Can't You?

Triple G's Basically a "Plank of Wood" in Regards to his Personality...Ditto for Canelo Alvarez, who CAN'T Even Be Bothered to Speak or Learn English...

Assuming Joshua-Wilder DOESN'T Happen in 2018, Triple G-Canelo will Be the Most LUCRATIVE Fight of the Calendar Year, by a Sizable Margin...

Agreed. Under pride rules, MMA had a pretty good argument to claim it was more of a real fight than boxing, but under unified rules, no.

Nothing more pathetic than someone who's in position to get kneed in the face, but barely touch the canvas with his fingers to insure he doesnt.

And lol at GSP crushing Kovalev in a streetfight. The guy is a nerd. He would get all nervous and get KOed before he even does something

I think it's in part because he's a foreigner. If English is not somebody's first language less is expected of them personality wise. Style helps a lot as well. If GGG fought like Winky Wright he would be nearly un-promotable.

Agreed. No athletic competition can truly compare to a fight on the street, but Pride would be a lot closer than UFC.

I’m not really getting the racial discrimination claims for Crawford. He’s lead a pretty charmed life as far as boxing.

GGG is probably the best post fight interviewee in boxing. He’s got catchphrases and shit.

Canelo looks like an underwear model, he was exposed by Floyd in the good way as well as the bad and he’s hugely popular among Spanish speakers.

Crawford’s a dick but not overtly gangsta or flamboyant. He looks like a struck match with 5 o’clock shadow. But he’s making good money on nationally televised cards and getting p4p credit to beat mediocre guys that he’s caught at the right place and right time.

Tooooooo Fucking Bad He Wasn't On a Week Ago, to PROMOTE the Horn Fight Though...

Knowing Lomachenko's On Ice, it Behooves Uncle Bob to Pay Attention to TC Now...

Yeah sure, a guy who gets paid to fight in a cage for a living is nervous to get into a street fight with someone who gets stopped via body shots from someone who isn’t even a puncher.

    You make no sense sometimes.

I've been critical of top rank in the past but it is pretty clear they are the best promotional outfit in the United states by far

Based on how they identify talent, develop talent and promote guys into becoming ticket sellers

They struck a great deal with espn for their stable of fighters and fans yet some like reed want to shed tears over a guy getting a career high payday

Lomachenkos injury was known prior to the crawford horn fight, so this new theory is more horseshit

Timing is Everything Shill, errr, Neil...

Where was this Groundswell of Attention and Compliments for Crawford, from Arum in Particular, PRIOR to Lomachenko's Injury???...

When the Top Guy in Your Stable is On the Shelf, Quite Naturally, Your Focus Shifts to the Guy a Peg Below Him...Clearly, that's What's Going On Here...

Until Lomachencko's Available to Fight Again, Top Rank HAS to Treat Crawford Accordingly...Make No Mistake, they Could've BEEN Doing This Though...

You're Clinging to 1 Payday, while REED has Been Talking about Crawford's Fucking CAREER, Bruh...Where has This All BEEN???...Why NOW???...Let's Not Pretend Jeff Horn is Better or More Accomplished Than Any of Crawford's Other Recent Opponents...

If PBC Classifies as a "Promotional Outfit", They're BEATING Top Rank Comfortably...PBC Fighters Make MORE Money By and Large and Have More FREEDOM...It's RARE to Hear of a Disgruntled PBC Fighter...

Hell, the ONLY Reason Top Rank Struck a Deal w/ESPN is Because they Saw what PBC was Doing w/Network Television 1st...

But the Unadulterated SHILL in You is Beating that Drum for Top Rank Anyways...REED Can Only Hope You're Rewarded Handsomely and Accommodated w/Good Seats on Fight Night...
