I used to lean towards Quartey but I’ve changed my mind. I think Ike piles up an early lead with his jab and right hand. By the mid rounds, Spence begins to take over with work rate and body shots. Spence closes strong in the championship rounds and takes a deserved UD victory. He probably hurts Quartey at some point but odds are it goes the distance. Spence via UD.
We don’t know how Spence would respond to the sting of Ike’s jab. He might turtle up and never get on track like Lopez. Ike’s counter right could work well as Spence barrels in. You’d have to expect Ike to struggle late tho.
Spence has the edge in stamina and his body attack could make the disparity in that area all the more clear. Not sure if he could get close enough and often enough to do it though. Quartey was physically strong and obviously there's a certain bazooka jab to contend with.
Was it the Forrest fight where somebody yelled BAHH-ZOOOOO-KAHH right in the microphone, all fucking fight?:) Was it you whiskey?
