I guess pretty soon we'll find out how good Chenko is. He looks promising, but he's never fought anybody remotely close to Danny's level, whereas Jacobs has fought Golov. Interesting matchup for sure.
derevyanchenko doesnt have the power of golovkin so hopefully this means jacobs wont fights as negative and survival oriented a fight. they have sparred many rounds so it will be interesting to see who benefits more from that
Is Derevyanchenko Cool w/Uncle Dre Working Danny's Corner? Does This Fracture the Relationship Irreparably, Assuming Rozier's Involved at All? REED
Right... And w/Jacobs Being the WBA Mandatory, it Lessens the Prestige in Fighting for the IBF...He'll Get a Shot w/Or w/Out Facing a Stablemate... REED
Looks like it's a done deal for Oct. 27th at MSG. Good matchup. I'll take Chenko by decision, but we dunno his true worth. Danny is a live threat to pull this off.
Sulecki won about 4 rounds off of Jacobs. Dereyanchenko is more talented than Sulecki. I favor Chenko, but I think it'll be close.
he was with jacobs first so it makes sense he'd stick with him. plus jacobs is probably getting a higher purse
I think Jacobs will be too mobile, quick and rangy. The punches Sulecki hit him with look bad coming up against bigger punchers but I don’t think Derev is as quick or as good a boxer as Sulecki. Derev can still crack him tho.
Yeah but he has to engage Jacobs and then he can get hit back. Sulecki is a more nimble, rangy, better pure boxer and that’s what gave Jacobs trouble. I don’t think Derev can have the same success the same way.
I do see your point, and there's validity to it. We'll see what happens. Danny winning is certainly a very good possibility. On paper, I'm sure he's the favorite... and he should be. He's the more proven of the two.
