I love this genre as mentioned in another thread. I love it when a big nasty creature or a lot of dangerous nasty creatures are killing off people one by one. The more gruesome and the larger the body count, the better. Don't ask me why I like it so much...perhaps there's a deep routed psychological reason, lol.

Naturally Aliens is at or near the top, along with the original Alien. Predator, Predator 2. All of the Jurassic films (although I haven't watched the most recent one). Pitch Black (Love me this film)!!

I like to watch pure carnage.

    What are your favourites?

Can't think of any really good monster movies. I prefer me a psychological thriller with a quality killer.

The Thing is king of this genre.

The Fly (86 version) is probably my favorite.

American Werewolf in London is also a great one, unless werewolves are considered a separate sub-genre.

Jurassic Park is not a monster movie since dinosaurs actually existed.

While not great by any means...I enjoyed the most recent rendition of Godzilla.

Loved kong: skull island, really well cast, great flourishes to the cinematography, good fun. I thought the last Godzilla with Brian Cranston was cool too, not sure what x's beef with it is

The Peter Jackson remake was great, but too long. Still it shits on that lame 1975 Dino DeLaurentis film. Nothing beats the original, though. 'Kong: Skull Island' was entertaining, but kind of disposable.

Skull island was way better than peter Jackson's, imo.

Well it's King Kong, not all the presidents men. You buy your ticket for imaginative action, stylish cinematography, and good enough casting and dialogue to take you with it. The 'plot' is just there to set that shit up, just set it up quick and lets get to it

Sly's full of shit. He posted on a thread I opened a few days ago. How would he do that if I were really "blocked"?

    He's a 16-year-old girl.
