I'll be in attendance for this one. Surprisingly, my first time seeing a fight at Barclays. Seen a bunch at MSG and in Atlantic City, but not Barclays as of yet.

I'm pretty confident that Danny wins this one after thinking it over.

The Ohio hack can't fight a lick.

    Garcia by UD.

    Garcia via clear UD.

Porter will give him some issues early with the bum rushing. But it won’t take too long for Garcia to start timing the rushes with well placed counters. I can see Porter visiting the canvas here.

I just hope the winner gets in the ring with Spence.

REED's Got Porter by Clear Yet Close UD...

Danny's Better Skilled, But Porter Applies ATHLETIC Pressure Which Will Keep Him @ a Closer Distance Than Garcia Will Prefer...The Left Hook Alone Won't Beat Porter...Danny's Never Been Renown for his 1-2 Prowess, But It'll Need to Be On Display Next Weekend for Him to Be Victorious...

Porter May Have a Shaky Moment or 3, Via Danny's Left Hook, but REED Likes Him 8-4, 7-5ish...That Said, REED Doesn't Expect Porter to Be DOMINANT Necessarily, in Any of Those Rounds...

Damn Good Fight, Lively Exchanges, a Fight Both Men NEED to Win...

Thanks bruh. Purely judging by how seating was looking online when I bought the tix a few weeks ago, looks like it might be a packed house, or nearly packed house.

Between hellacious hours at work and raising a toddler, this night out with the fellas is HIGHLY needed.

I think this is going to be a great fight.

I see Danny winning by KO with Porter coming in over aggressively.

I think it will go 12, but if anybody were to get stopped, it'd be the grappling scrub. His wild ass could walk into a huge Garcia counter hook.

I lean towards Garcia because he was so much better a fighter in his prime and he’s a proven winner while Porter has basically been dealt with in his step up fights. But Garcia is smaller, has never looked good at welter and is probably coming towards the end of his run.

Yeah the more I think about it, this is a bad match up for Porter.

He walks straight in. Garcia will have a field day with counter left hooks. And yes, I could see Porter walking into one too many and that will be that.

My guess is that it goes the distance, though. Garcia will convincingly beat him.

Garcia's power doesn't seem to be there at 147. He could surprise Porter with a big shot I guess. But I don't see him winning a decision. I don't think his punches will deter Porter. At least not a decision he deserves. Sadly, we of course must allow for the possibility of another shit decision.

Your Last Sentence is Accurate, but the GOOD Thing About This Particular Fight is There's Really NO "House" Fighter...They're BOTH "House" Fighters, Basically...

Even the "It Would Be BETTER For Boxing If " Logic Doesn't Apply to Garcia-Porter...One Isn't Appreciably Marketable Over the Other...

That Said, NO Sport Finds a Way to Fuck Shit Up as Consistently as Boxing Does, So Shit Decisions Can NEVER Be Ruled Out...

    I gotta disagree REED.

Garcia is the house fighter here, and he's a MUCH bigger mainstream name than Porter.

Spence vs Danny is a much more marketable matchup than Spence vs Porter would be. Spence vs Danny is a fight that would generate a lot of mainstream attention next year. It would DEFINITELY break the Thurman-Garcia attendance record at Barclays, and it would likely generate the highest ratings numbers of any Showtime fight in 2019.

Nobody knows who Shawn Porter is, and nobody gives a fuck about him. And for good reason. He has an ugly style and zero personality.

A close decision would seem to favor Danny.

    Perhaps it's a Regional Thing...

You Being Up North, Closer to Philly, You'd Obviously Be More Privy to Danny Garcia News...But Living in Dallas, REED Can't Say He Sees a Difference @ All In The WAY or How FREQUENTLY Garcia and Porter are Covered...

They're Both IN the Mix w/the Spence's, Thurman's and Crawford's (In Terms of Publicity), Yet a NOTCH Below...They Both Have Dads Who LIKE The Sound of Their Own Voices and KEEP Their Sons' Names Out There...Porter LIVES in Vegas Now, So He's Always @ Fights, in Various Gyms, in Various Videos, etc...

Boxing Circles May or May Not LIKE Shawn Porter, But They KNOW Him...@ Least as Much as They'd KNOW Danny Garcia, That Is...Neither of Them are Mainstream in REED's Opinion...

I would score it for Garcia but Porter's illegal grappling sways the judges for him to win a SD

Danny has Hip Hop affiliations - he's cool with Meek Mill for example. Those affiliations alone have bolstered his name in the mainstream.

By no means am I trying to say that he's as popular as a Floyd or Canelo, but the bar is the set pretty low with Porter.

I doubt Porter is even popular in Ohio.

Dude is from Akron... unfortunately for him, any athlete from Akron is always gonna live in the shadow of a certain guy who's just a tadddddddd bit more popular than Shawn.

I'll concede that it's a regional thing. So, if this fight were in Vegas, it'd be neutral.

But being that it's in NYC, Danny is definitely the house fighter.

garcia is more well known than porter around here. there is more interest in watching garcia than porter as well. even if its because many watch to see him lose.

I would say Garcia is more popular. He’s a bit more known. He has bigger wins on his resume than Porter, and he’s pretty active on social media, along with the hip hop affiliations. Porter may be known in boxing circles, but he’s not quite as popular or marketable as DSG. I would tend to think that a close decision favors Garcia.

But no, neither is a ppv star.

I think Danny will stop him. Porter is way too hittable and Danny has some pop.

This is only the second time where I'll be rooting for Cherry Garcia. Most times I wanna see him lose, but an exception must be made. I rooted for him in the Khan fight, and I'll root for him on Saturday.

The Porter's have got to go. Shawn is annoying to watch, and Kenny Porter is simply not a likable figure at all.... he thinks he's God's gift to the sport.

Angel Garcia might be a jackass, but he's an intentional troll who acts like a jackass to get under the opponent's skin.

Kenny Porter is a smug, arrogant asshole who acts like he's Eddie Futch, Angelo Dundee, and Manny Steward rolled into one. Say what you what you want about Angel, but at least he made sure his son fights with proper boxing mechanics.

Kenny, if you're such a boxing savant, then how come your kid fights like a fuckin drunk orangutan?
