agREED There's Fightbeat Posters That Will LITERALLY Tell You Canelo Hasn't Improved a Bit Since the Floyd Fight... Dude was like 22-23 @ the Time... REED
No, it's reality. I can't think of ONE poster on this forum who could be categorized as a Golovkin groupie.
I think the main issue people have with this rematch is we all KNEW that Canelo would get the benefit of the doubt in a fight that coulda gone either way. That's not necessarily a "robbery" but it is somewhat of a disappointment because it was predictable as Hell that Canelo was going to get the benefit in a close fight. HOWEVER, at the end of the day, the only one Golov has to blame is the man in the mirror. He didn't fight aggressively enough, and he threw maybe 5 body shots in BOTH fucking fights.
Brother X, You've Gone to GREATER Lengths than Any Other Poster DEFENDING Golovkin's Name...@ the Slightest Hint of Criticism YOU were Always Right There, on the Front Lines, Fighting the Good Fight... CLEARLY, You CARE About Golovkin, Which is Fine...But SPARE REED your Faux "I'm Objective" Bullshit...If You WERE the Least Bit Objective, You Would't Literally Be THE 1st Motherfucker @ GGG's Defense, just Because the Likes of REED or Muzse Wanted the Dude to CHALLENGE Himself a Bit, vs. Sitting Around Feasting on a Diet of 3rd and 4th Tier Guys, Waiting for Canelo to Finally Face Him... REED has Never Personally Attacked GGG, Never Attacked Him Stylistically Either...But When REED Questioned His AMBITION, There YOU Were to the Rescue, to Clear His Name... Based on your Actions, YOU'RE the Groupie Bruh... REED
This is ridiculous. And for the record, REED and I are labelled haters because we had the audacity to question GGG's competition. Now we have guys calling him "great" and wondering how he'd fare against known, proven, all-time great fighters like Hagler. But yeah, we're unreasonable about him. Those KO's over future hall of famers Murray, Rosado, LePeux, Rubio, Brook, Martirosyan, Wade, Monroe Jr, Geale, Adama, Macklin, Proksa, Fuchigami, Simon and Ouma aren't valued highly enough. Note...that's his ledger dating back to 2011.
BULLLLLLLL..... FUCKING..... SHIT!!!! You obviously don't read my Golov posts closely enough. How many times have I had said that the man is overrated? Plenty! I say on a REGULAR basis that he's not a historically great middleweight. You honestly must have me confused with Sly. He's the one who made the asinine claim that Golov-Hagler was a 50-50 fight.
See my below post. I've questioned his resume as well. I admitted YEARS ago that he wanted no parts of moving to face Ward. And as I just said, I don't consider him a middleweight great. He should go down as a very good middleweight, but falls short of great due to his lack of comp, and the fact that he struggled against the two best fighters he faced.
You ONLY Started Saying That Shit Post Jacobs and Canelo I Bruh. Don’t Even Pretend You were Doing It Prior, Because You Weren't.... Once Golovkin Started Showing Signs of Slippage You KNEE JERK REACTED, as Usual, and Started Calling Him Overrated. REED
I'm confused. So you're a hater now? REED and I said this prior to the Jacobs and Canelo fights which saw us labelled as haters. This has been our point for the past several years.
Some of your criticisms of the guy were absolutely ludicrous, that's why you were labeled as "haters"
To quote the orange demigod "FAKE NEWS! Very untrue! Very, very untrue!" Even at his apex, I thought it was absurd when people suggested Golov's chances against a Hagler, Hopkins, Jones, Monzon, ect. And even at his apex, I stated that Ward would soundly beat him. Now, I still do feel that the Golov of 5 years would have clearly beaten Canelo, but that doesn't change the fact that Jacobs and Canelo were his two best opponents, and he performed underwhelming against both.
I respect Muzse, he knows the game, but let's call a spade a spade.... he's never uttered a positive word about any Eastern Euro fighter. Like ever.
Right. I criticized the guy a lot even after the first Canelo fight where I thought he won clearly I scored this fight for him because he won the fucking thing, not because I like him or dislike Canelo
I don't let my likes/dislikes cloud my judgement when it comes to scoring a fight. Hell, if you wanna go back 14 years ago on here, I was calling bullshit when Mosley got the decision over Oscar in the rematch. And we all know I despise Oscar. Golov won the first fight clear as day. This past Saturday, I had him winning 7-5. Could it have gone either way? Yes, I just find it funny that Canelo is ALWAYS given the benefit of the doubt in close fights. You can't even say that you gotta dominate Canelo to win, because even when Floyd dominated him, one judge had it a draw.
No, 7-3-2 Hut had him by 4, I had him by 3 Atlas had him by what, 5? Look again at the poll... most disagree with your view of the fight ... as did most ringside
For the millionth time... I have no issue with a close win for GGG. I didn't see it that way, but it's understandable. It's the robbery crap that's ridiculous as well as the excuses which go along with it. I'll also mention, if you're a judge and have more than one round even you shouldn't be a judge. That's one of the points taught in the professional judge training. Even rounds should be RARE, but unfortunately it's common on the net when guys either don't know what they're seeing or are too indecisive to pick a winner. The ABC discourages even rounds and only advise if there are rare circumstances. (I can speak to this because I've been through the training twice. The 2nd being when my license expired and needed to have it renewed). Ex. a guy's badly losing the round then knocks down the other guy. Typically that's a 9-9 round. Or both guys are knocked down in a round. Outside of that, be decisive and pick a winner.
Gtfoh with that bullshit... I had two even rounds... the funny thing about your rant is that I seldom score even rounds and have criticized people for being too generous with them ... I'm not going to penalize one fighter by flipping a coin just to appear more "decisive", that's stupid and illogical and I don't hold the boxing judge profession in such high esteem and can't see how anybody that's followed this sport for decades possibly could.
I'm confused. Your score the night of the fight. Mathematically speaking wouldn't there have to be three even rounds to make 117-114 true? 6-3-3 117-114 GGG... I can't see an Alvarez win here... he just didn't do enough work and his frenetic bursts were too often stymied cdogg187, Saturday at 11:05 PM Report
If you can't make a decision on 1/4 of an event, it's ridiculous to critique others who had the balls to decide on 100% of the same event. Especially if they're in disagreement with the 1/4th you couldn't make up your mind about.
You had the balls to arbitrarily pick a winner in rounds where you didn't actually feel there was a real clear winner... retarded There were two rounds where I felt neither man had an edge ... I'm not picking a winner if there isn't one
