    historically.

    Definition of offensive:

Punishment delivery system! A combination of power, handspeed, combination punching, mixing up attack between head and boy and punch repertoire.

Definition of defensive: not getting hit

Lots of people suggest that Robinson was the most complete fighter, but truth is that he was the most complete OFFENSIVELY but when it came to defence he was above average but nowhere near the top. He got hit plenty.

I would have to say that the best combination of the two is a prime Mike Tyson.

    Thoughts?

    Prime Muhammad Ali? 1964-67?
Those 8 fights vs Liston, Patterson, Chuvalo, Cooper, London, Mildenburger, Williams and Terrell - tee´d-off on these guys for fun, connected loads and did he even get tagged flush?

Lightweight Duran is the all time best combination of offensive and defensive talent combined. Tyson himself would agree with that.

You fucked Pernell by including power. This should be about who wins the most rounds, most often. Roy is in the conversation.

He didn’t have the one punch power though and neither was he a body puncher. So I can’t inckude him, sadly.

I'd add Eder Jofre for consideration

I know not of this Jofre character, but I doubt he was in the same league as Calzaghe.

Lennox wasn’t much of a body puncher and neither was he much of a combination puncher. Pawing jab followed by big right was his offence 90% of the time.

Vitali was hard to hit and could get his own shots off.

Canelo probably right now has the best ability to attack and defend.

    Jofrinho´s last 20 fights wipe-away Calzaghe´s entire fight record.

Vitali was quite horrible to watch with his stiffness and technique, but a very effective and destructive fighter with his reach and power...guys also really did struggle to hit him.

Wlad also has the combination. He just didn't take punches as well as Vitali when he did get hit. I'd give the edge to Wlad on offense, Vitali on defense, but both good picks.
