Lol fuck off mate, Wilder isn't an all time great but he's clearly better than Alex fuckin Stewart. I'm annoyed at myself for taking the bait with this one but Jesus man, use a better comparison.

Anyway, I'm of the opinion that Frazier, despite being obviously superior from an ATG perspective, is a stylistic NIGHTMARE for Wilder. Deontay has the power to take out anybody, but he needs room to be effective, which Frazier will just not provide. Wilder also isn't one of these super heavyweights like a Bowe or Lewis where the size will eventually tell. He's lean but not massive, Frazier WILL get inside, consistently.

If Frazier hadn't been diminished by the foreman loss, Ali never would've beaten him

    Compare Wilder with whom?
Wilder's a KO specialist with no skillset.
Stewart was 24-0 (24) and was 'Mr KO' in the early 90s.
Fought Holyfield, Foreman, Tyson...he was as slow as Wilder is shit.

    v. Ali II: clearly terrified from the hellacious beating he took in '71, Ali ran, clinched, pushed Frazier's head down and stunk Madison Square Garden out
v Ali III: well done, you beat a shot, one-eyed fighter and fainted afterwards
    v. Foreman: already discussed earlier
    v. Foreman II: please. Even more shot than when Ali almost died fighting him the year before and it took twice as long to KO

So what have we learned this week, kids?

    1. Duran couldn't possibly be the GOAT because he got KO'd while past his prime and 20 pounds above his prime weight against one of the biggest punches that ever lived.

    2. Marvin Hagler was slow.

    3. Joe Frazier was on the same level as Iran Barkey.

I know he's served as a loyal workhorse for us for nearly 20 years and taken our carriage on many journeys, seldom stopping for water, but I think its time we did the right thing. Take him out back, tears in our eyes, and put him down.

Sly got me thinking to rewatching Frazier - Ali I, just in case I'd imagined everything I remembered about it. Luckily it is on Youtube. What a performance from Frazier. I'm at R.11 here, and Frazier has literally punched the living fuck out of the best, fastest and most skilled HW anyone had ever seen. Ali is mugging on the ropes, taking punch after punch and landing nothing.

    Wilder KO 2 Frazier.

The speed of the left hook that lays Ali on his back in the 15th. Good, but I reckon Wilder sees it coming and counters it. No problem for such a skilled, well-schooled modern fighter.

Ali wasn’t the fastest and most skilled heavyweight anyone had ever seen on that night. He was never the same after the layoff. Never.

Post lay-off Ali was prone to laying on the ropes and taking breaks and then firing back in spurts.

Secondly, Foreman was a slow fighter and Frazier never nailed him with that hook. Boxing is more than just speed or stamina. Many other factors can come into it such as styles, strength, power, height, reach, size etc.

I mean you know this...you’re a lawyer, you’re smart and your not a savage like xplosive. So this means that you’re basically just trolling.

I actually doubt whether you've watched Joe Frazier fight.

    I'm a "savage" now? Lol.

Now you're starting to surpass Frank Bruno on the Uncle Tom rankings.

Ali was far from being one of the most skilled HW ever. In fact, he was full of flaws skill wise. Agreed with the rest of your post though

It depends on how you define 'skilled'. Ali was unorthordox in the extreme. He held his hands low, punched from 'odd' angles, kept his chin exposed...but 'skilled' isn't about textbook technique IMO. Amir Khan was taught not to do any of that, but he had no real skill. Boxing 'skill' is really about craft, intelligence, movement, instinctively knowing what to do in the moment. They are skills in my book, and that is what made Ali great.

Joe still punched fuck out of him, though.

You’re an intellectual savage. You’re also very immature. This has nothing to do with race as REED, Muzse, Phonetap and others are black and you’d never hear me label them as such since they are intelligent and have maturity. I may disagree with them from time to time but I’ve always respected them.

Joe wouldn’t have “punched the fuck out of” the Ali of ‘66. That Ali would have called him gorilla to his face in the ring and asked him to repeat it.

MTF, you got me thinking to rewatching Foreman Frazier 1, just in case I’d imagined everything I remembered about it. Luckily it is on YouTube. What a performance from Frazier. I’m at R.1 here, and Frazier is getting fucked Missionary, Doggy Style, Reverse Cowgirl and Foot-pun-shoulder. All without any lube by the way. Frazier on his knees, on his back, anyway Foreman wants him.

    Frazier KO 1 Wilder

Watched it last night in its entirety along with Frazier vs Ellis and Frazier vs Mathis. I simply cannot see Wilder coping with someone who keeps the fight at close range and who works for 3 minutes of every round.

Gap in class and skill is too wide. Wilder gets stopped within 7.

I’m starting to think it may not even go 7 rounds. Frazier would have put a serious hurting on Wilder.

Frazier was superb at ducking under the kind of right hands Wilder throws.

George actually started hurting Frazier with left hooks (a punch Wilder doesn't have), and really decimated him with right uppercuts (a punch Wilder rarely throws).

Wilder has a remote puncher's chance, but Frazier in about 9/10 meetings would give Beyonce a horrible beating.

Basically, it would look like Frazier-Foster, only over maybe 6-8 rounds instead of 2.
