Yeah, I dont even know why he's on the list. He doesn't beat any of these guys.

I say scrap Zab and add in the three I suggested so we at least have a group of guys on an elite level.

Some of these matchups actually happened. In those cases i think the results should stand if you want to add up points on who beats who. An exception might be ODLH-Chavez as Julio was well beyond his prime. (yes so was Arguello against Pryor but he wasn't in his prime at 140 anyway and made a marvelous showing)

A bit too much to calculate but i'll just start with Floyd.

I think Pryor and Chavez beat him.

Taylor, De La Hoya and Pacquiao are close. I'll give them to Mayweather but they could go ther other way.

    He beats the rest.

One thing is for sure. Nobody on the list goes undefeated. Anyone who says otherwise has a hard-on for a particular fighter. Not sure who that might be. Just saying.

I think he would definitely be above Mayweather but there is no basis of putting him in front of Judah, so somewhere around there

Ok, here's my list. Sly, I refuse to entertain Judah. He simply has no chance at beating these guys and should be excluded. Head-to-head, I'd probably rank them as follows:

    1. Whitaker: I agree with Cdogg. I think Sweet Pea is the best of the bunch here, and should be favored over the rest.

    2. Pryor: This one was tough. I'm not 100% confident of Pryor beating Floyd and Benitez, I'd be lying if I said I was. But I suppose I'd slightly favor him over both.

    3. Benitez: Again, this one was tough. I'm not sure I'd favor a 17-18 year old Benitez over the more polished and seasoned 27-28 year old Floyd, but it comes down to competition. Benitez clearly outboxed Antonio fucking Cervantes at 17 years old. That absolutely shits on any win over Gatti.

    4. Floyd: I do think extremely highly of Floyd at 140, and the only fighter I'd be confident of picking him over him would be Whitaker. Pryor and Benitez get the nod over him due to having better resumes at junior welter. But I think any of those three matchups would be extremely close.

    5. Cervantes: The most underrated fighter on the list. The mid 70s Cervantes was a bad man, almost like a junior welterweight version of Monzon. I've long said that Cervantes beats Chavez at 140, and I maintain that to this day. Which brings us to..

    6. Chavez: Not AS brilliant at 140 as he was at 135, but still great at the weight. But here's where it gets VERY tricky... I'd pick Pac over Chavez at 140, and I'd pick prime Chavez over Oscar. But I'd also pick prime Oscar over Chavez. So this ranking is very difficult, and purely comes down to Chavez having the best resume of the three at junior welter.

    7. Oscar: "Like I said before", I'd take Oscar to beat Pac at 140, but I think a prime Chavez takes over late and wins a clear decision over him. Still, Oscar was a beast at 140... no denying that.

    8. Pac: I already explained this. I'd take Pac over Chavez (at 140, Chavez beats Pac at lightweight), but he loses to De La Hoya. Styles. And yes, Manny, like Oscar, was a beast at 140.

    9. Taylor: Now the rankings go back to being easier. I'd take Mel to beat Crawford and Tszyu at 140, and I say that pretty confidently.

    10. Crawford: I like TC, but his comp just doesn't stack up to the rest of these guys, and although I can see him being competitive with everybody on the list, cause he is an elite talent... I can't favor him over any of them EXCEPT...

    11. Tszyu: Sorry, Kostya. You're the weakest link here. All of these guys beat Tszyu. No disrespect, he was a very good fighter... but he's the most flawed guy on this list, and had the least amount of heart and intangibles of everybody on the list.

    There ya go, Stafford.

As usual, you guys are a bunch of cunts. Instead of simply contributing to the thread the way it's presented you have to complain that other fighter's aren't on the list, Ugotabe Finnish has to place it in alphabetical order, cdogg has to masturbate at he thought of Whitaker....etc. I mean, can't people around here just focus on the task at hand? lol

I notice that you love using my real name. Thanks. It's a rather unique and distinguished name even if I say so myself.

    Forgot about Arguello.

I'd probably pick Arguello over Taylor, and Crawford. I'd DEFINITELY pick him over Tszyu.

    He loses to the rest.

Though, for the record, Arguello beats both Chavez and Pac at 130.

Carlos Ortiz should be added here. He was junior welterweight champion, and he fought Locche to a draw.. a fight that most historians say Ortiz won clearly and was robbed.

Then why not add Duillo Loi? Eddie Perkins? They both did more at 140 than Ortiz and some of these other guys

I've heard a lot about Perkins, but I've honestly never seen footage of him.

If I we stick with Ortiz, I'd probably place him at #6 as I could see him beating Chavez, Oscar, Pac, ect..

I think Whitaker, Benitez, Pryor, Floyd, and Cervantes beat Ortiz.
