well considering how much time you spend following Mustard around and upvoting his sh*t posts, I figured you could spice things up outside of this forum.

It'd be fun to smash Panchy's joints to dust and then twist him into all kinds of shapes before tossing his broken body into a garbage compactor and then doing this little dance over to the green ON button and theatrically pressing it

Good show. Not exactly a barn-burner. Probably more of a family drama then an actual "horror" series. Think "Six Feet Under" mixed with a less campy version of "American Horror Story".

Decent watch until the last episode which turned into a shitty episode of "This Is Us", for some reason. Oh well, these type of things are always tough to wrap up.

Ending was a bit weak but it seemed like a difficult story to wrap up ... overall, I enjoyed the series. Good spooks, good acting and visuals.

Yes, watched it based on the recommendations in this thread. Good acting, didn't find it remotely scary though and watched it until about ten minutes into the last episode which was so terrible I left it at that a fortnight ago and have no desire to see the end.

Ha! It was your recommendation mainly that got me watching it and you ended up bailing long before I did.

Judging from what I've seen you post about your movie likes and dislikes etc, I'd give Daredevil 3 a miss if I were you. It's absolutely crap. A ton of faux moralising and posturing using the typical catholic priest stooge as a vehicle for peddling pseudo-intellectual drivel. I ended up jumping forward through ALL the long agonised "Am I doing the right thing?" "What does God want me to do" scenes. Honestly, that probably cuts out about a third of the season.

And the action sequences become hysterically bad. When daredevil's "hitting" the heavy bag they show about ten seconds of him spazzing arm punches at it before they cut away, presumably because the actor is gassed. When he throws a left hook it is clumsy slap/swing that connects with the inside of his wrist. And all the while he has this silly fake/tough expression on his face that only makes him look like he's soiled himself and is in discomfort.

The scenes where he actually "fights" people are even worse. He has no super powers and neither do his opponents but they smash each other's heads into concrete, get their spines stomped on, their faces repeatedly pounded and kicked, yet they jump up five seconds later and charge at each other again screaming like extras from a Bruce Lee movie. In fact, I said to my son that it's got so silly it's like watching Inspector Clouseau fight Cato, but not as realistic.

And don't get me started on the Physics fail of a normal guy imparting enough kinetic energy to throw two ounce pencils through wooden tabletops etc. I know it's a Superhero movie and I normally give these a lot of latitude, but you'd have to have the intellectual development of a toddler to suspend your disbelief enough to not laugh out loud at most of this.

Just reading this confirms everything I suspected after 2 episodes and even moreso from my original expectation review from the thread on this forum:
    Daredevil: season 3

Panchyprssss probably will love it for the reason you posted in your response: religion.

    :D :D :D Jajaja!

Ah think Deasil, SEEdog and yersen summed it up nicely. Fer me it wiz just <ahem> up ma alley as Ah love old fashioned, traditional ghost stories which ‘The Haunting o’ Hill Hoose’ delivers. The scene that struck me most wiz...

    ****SPOILER****

...when the youngest daughter discovers she’s been the twisted neck lady the whole time and revisits all o’ the times she’s appeared in a nightmarish time loop. The scene wiznae scary as such, it wiz just the concept o’ an eternal realisation and a hellish repetition in the afterlife... it’d be like having tae read every post on Fightbeat again and again forever.

The first two seasons were bearable. The third though nosedives off a cliff. Really weird to me that in the link you posted Boss says he really likes it. He doesn't come across as stupid so he's one of the last people I thought would give it a thumbs up. Fisk was pretty good in it, and the Bullseye character was ok until he completely jumped the shark towards the end. Other than that all the other characters were paper-thin and forgettable. So much so, that if Fisk had gone on a rampage and smashed Daredevil and his execrable sidekicks Karen and Foggy to a pulp it would have been, by far, the highlight of the series.

Oh and Daredevil going the whole season with half a fat lady's sock pulled down over his eyes really helped me take it seriously. Not only did it never fall off during dozens of fights (they must have superglued it on) everyone was completely fooled by it even though Matt Murdock's most distinctive facial feature is the sulky old lady set of his mouth when he's trying to look angry.
