I believe Wlad had definitely lost a step or two, considering his lethargic performance against Jennings. And if you consider him being in his prime in the Brewster fight, it would be surprising if he were still his best eleven years later. That being said, victory over him is a solid achievement

Prime Wlad was all about offensive reflexes and maintaining distance. The Jennings fight, where he struggled with a mediocre undersized target showed he’d lost a major step.

His strategy against another small mediocre target in Povetkin showed he didn’t really have confidence in his old abilities as well.

There's a difference between washed up and past it. It wasn't the very best version of Wlad, but he was far from washed up, as shown in the AJ fight. I expect a neanderthal like cdogg to fail to see the difference between the two, but seeing X falling more and more into the gutter is dissapointing

And im again reminded of how much of a mongoloid you are, since you once again get confused reading a few forum posts. X said that wlad was washed up.

Even simple reading comprehension is beyond the capacity of your drug damaged brain

Didn't see that he had gone that far... washed up is definitely a step too far but he was old and past his best for sure, there's no disputing that

Congrats, your first time being sorta right about something... that puts you one ahead of Double L and thus into a solid next-to-last place in the "Fightbeat's Best Boxing Poster" standings

This thread is a microcosm of your whole posting ''career''. Going into threads hurling insults, while being completely oblivious and ignorant of what is actually being discussed

So you're now resorting to the "it's you" defense mechanism that's mostly used by kids before the age of 10. Absolutely pathetic.

He would, but that's not saying much.

Holmes beat the fuck outta Cooney.

I'm not doubting Fury would be competitive with Holmes, but I don't see him winning.

Holmes beat a badly managed guy who was low on confidence and esteem his entire fucking life.

Cooney was managed into a title shot. Badly managed, at that.

Fury is a natural born fighter.

Sorry what? Do me a favor and read the last 10 years worth of posts from me. I REPEATEDLY stated that the klitschkos not fighting wouldn't suddenly make the heavyweight division good. The heavyweight division wasn't good when they ruled it and it isn't good now. "Exciting" to some but exciting doesn't equal "good"

Yeah, but unlike soft hearted Wald, Holmes was a natural fighter too.

Fury would definately take Holmes' 'power', but could Holmes take Fury's?

That's 270lb of power, not 220lb of 'speed kills' power...270lb of heavy, horrible, thudding power.
(+ jab, movement, psyhcological wear & tear)

always funny to see this cdogg character completely humiliate himself. His drug addicted brain is barely able to have a coherent discussion anymore
