It's really become sickening. It's sad that we're in the minority.

I have no clue how grown ass men can watch this shit. Fuckin Aquaman? What adult VOLUNTARILY watches this shit??

Granted, I have a young son, so I'm sure I'll have to watch these kinds of movies for years to come, and I will.. but it'll be for his enjoyment, not mine.

Marvel blows. DC blows. The whole genre needs to hop in the shower, and let Norman Bates take care of it.

I guess the good news is that one day, the superhero bubble will burst. The industry has become SOOOOOOOO oversaturated with them, that its inevitable one day people will lose interest and they'll no longer generate money.

To its credit, this horrible genre has a nice lil 20 year run that began with X-Men in 2000.

I give it a couple more years before the public loses interest.

The real paradigm shift happened in 2008 - that same year BOTH The Dark Knight and Ironman dropped - thus really exploding the genre.

Before that, the genre was somewhat popular, but those two films had the biggest impact on the popularity of superhero flicks.

Marvel is running out of ideas. I know they think the gravy train will never end, but it always does.

In the 50s, when 8 outta 10 movies were westerns, people probably never expected the western obsession to end. But trends change.

Westerns were popular since the silent era up until the early 70s when the genre was officially certified as dead. It had quite a long run. Regarding superhero films, well as long as films like Avengers: Infinity War keep grossing $2 billion worldwide, you bet that the genre is not going anywhere any time soon.

Yeah, you guys are so fucking cool. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if everyone liked the same thing?

Man you guys get on my nerves with this shit. Every other superhero trailer you guys come in and bitch about how awesome it is that y’all don’t like these films. Please do tell us more about your superior maturity and how unfortunate we are that we find these films entertaining.

I don’t like musicals at all but you won’t find me in every musical trailer shitting on people or the fact they might enjoy them. Most people here branch out and watch several genres of movies.

I don’t care that you guys have such a hardoff for superhero films but I would appreciate it if we didn’t have to hear about it in every single superhero thread.

Word. To each his own. I particularly don't like nor watch slasher films, but I don't go around trashing that genre nor the people who actually enjoy watching them.

I said exactly the same thing about that horrible, disgusting, no talent, overhyped musical fad called hip-hop and somehow it is still around.

    CHINA LOVES AQUAMAN!!!
The movie opened exclusively in China this weekend (two weeks ahead of its domestic & foreign release) and Chinese audiences flocked to theaters to the tune of $93.6 million capturing 85% of the total tickets sales in the Middle Kingdom. This makes the biggest debut for a WB movie in that country and far more successful than all previous DCEU films (Batman v Superman was the biggest opener with $55.7 million). WB did a great job promoting the film in that country and a smart move was give lots of recognition to its Chinese American director, James Wang. How big will it open in America?

Chinesers don't know shit about movies.

They know as much about movies as Panchyprsss knows about females over the age of 17.

Saw it last night. 8/10. Better than Wonder Woman and Black Panther IMO. Great action and cgi. Story was good. Weak part was the score. This is one clear area that Marvel dominates DC. Justice League's score was horrible. This one was out of place.

:emoji_clap: It's Actually MORE Immature to Repeatedly Go OUT of Your Way to Denigrate Something a Group of People Find Enjoyable...

REED Loooooooooooooooooves Comic Book Flicks, Unapologetically...As a Child, REED Vividly Recalls Thinking to Himself "Man, How Fucking COOL Would it Be if These Comic Books were Made into Movies!?"...This is Why Adults Frequent Comic Book Flicks...Also, the Characters are TIMELESS, So a Grown Ass Comic Book Fan Can Introduce His Kids to His Favorite Characters, Allow His Kids to Find Their OWN Favorite Characters, etc...

Good, Clean, Harmless, Family Oriented Fun...REED Looooooooooooves When his Wife or Daughters are Like "Okay, What's This Guys Powers and WHY Did You Like Him?"...Who DOESN'T Want Remnants of Their Own Childhood to RESONATE w/their Kids???...

Your Musicals Example is Perfect...Mrs. REED Will Tell You "Grease" is the Greatest Movie Ever Made and Though REED Vehemently Disagrees, he's Never 1nce Pissed on Her Parade...

Who DOES That to Someone that CLEARLY Derives Enjoyment in Something?

I liked the part where Aquaman emerged from the water wearing, inexplicably, both his jeans and shoes...smouldering looks and flipping of the hair, Herbal Essencese-style, to the accompanying electric guitar...and also when it metamorphs into some kind of screwball comedy.

    Best bit: Octopus drummer.

There’s Waaaaaaaaay tooooo Many Genres and Eras of Films to Pinpoint THE Greatest.

Even Among Musicals, Whereas Most Would Say “Grease”, REED Liked “The Wiz” and “School Daze” Better.

A Huuuuge Part of What Makes a Flick “Great” to a Particular Person is How RELATABLE They Find it to Be.

I think the public won't really lose interest because new generations of movie-goers are coming along. And superheroes don't seem to ever go out of style. They've been around since the 50s.

Didn't Batman in 1989 make like half a billion dollars worldwide? Superheroes are larger than life and when made right, people flock.

Marvel is owned by Disney. They're going to make money for generations to come. But you make a good point. Things will slow down as they always do.
