Answer this question... if you don't know the answer then shut the fuck up and stay out of it... don't pretend you do If there is a KD in a round generally dumbasses automatically score it 10-8 no matter what happens before or after the KD. A KD simply means an extra point. What happens before and after the KD should be 100% taken into account but it almost never is.... So here's my Q... Since a KD punch results in an extra point.... does that punch also weigh in into the scoring of the rest of the round? Meaning it both acts as an extra point and also determines who won the round??? Say NOTHING happens in a round then a right hand lands and boom guy goes down... its a KD so extra point but does that right hand also count as a factor of who won the round outside the KD? Does that right hand pull double duty or not???
how about when some cage fighter gets punched in the head 50 times in a round but then he takes his opponent to the ground and lays on top of him for 2 minutes! who wins that round!?!!
Depending on the Circumstances of the Round, 10-8 Isn’t Automatic Based on a Knockdown. That Said, Knowing Wilder-Fury Spawned This Thread, and the Circumstances of the Rounds in Question, 9 and 12 were CLEAR 10-8 Rounds for Wilder. REED
Take Round 2 of Canelo-Fielding for Instance; Canelo Beat Fielding like he Stole Something THEN Dropped Him Towards the End of the Round. REED’s of the Belief You Can Score a 10-8 Round w/No Knockdown if that Round is 1-Sided Enough. And Since Round 2 Met that Criteria AND Fielding was Floored Late, it Could Justifiably Be Scored 10-7 in REED’s Opinion. REED
It's obvious you're bitching about the Fury fight If you feel like Fury deserves credit then call the rounds 10-9 for Wilder ... you're then crediting them both accordingly... Wilder for scoring knockdowns and Fury for whatever the fuck reason you think he deserves to lose only one point instead of two
You are asking us to separate the dancer from the dance. The punch and the knockdown are one and the same entity. People say they are scoring a knockdown but in fact they are scoring a punch it's knockdown, the same way your horse doesn't come in, your horse and it's rider, one and the same entity, comes in. YA DIGS?
It's a tricky one isn't it. Wlad was the one who suffered the knockdown but Joshua was the guy who came closest to being stopped.
Great Question...REED Had to Rewatch it Before Answering... REED Would Score it 9-8 for Joshua... Joshua Had 10-8 in the Bag, via the Knockdown, but REED Thinks Wlad Earned a Point Back for the Latter Half of the Round...Without the Knockdown it's an EVEN Round in REED's Opinion, but if, If, IF We're Adhering to 10-8's on the Strength of Clean Knockdowns, Joshua Barely Won the Round...BARELY... REED
You Sure on that Bruh???...It's VERY Infrequent, but REED's Certain He's Seen 9-9 or 9-8 Rounds in the Past... REED
Looks Like McDogg was Right... The most widely used scoring system since the mid-twentieth century is the "10-point must system", so named because a judge "must" award ten points to at least one fighter each round (before deductions for fouls). So on the RARE Occasion REED Saw a 9-9 or 9-8 Round, There "Must" Have Been a Point Deduction... REED
LOL I was sure of the same exact thing up until like a few years ago ... it was then that I realized how insane the 10 point must system really is
Until NOW, REED Always Wondered What the Fuck "Must" Meant in the "10-Point Must System"..."Must?! What a Peculiar Word Choice"... REED
In the 12th, he hurt Wilder badly enough to win the round in and of itself. He loses 2 for the knockdown. He gains 1 for basically winning the rest. It's a moot point, because it was wider than 2 going into the 12th, and there's no way Wilder was ahead.
Just rewatched Joshua vs Klitschko round 5. Here are my findings..... ......................Fury will batter Joshua.
Look I love my FB brothers but fucking no one knows what 10 point must is? It's just the scoring system for every championship fight sanctioned by like anyone in the modern era, . "I score that round a 4-7"
Has no one noticed that every fucking round ever scored for like the last quarter century has a "10" in it??
