Steven wins on points in a brisk battle over 12, but if you are talking about going the 15 round route, I think he stops Manny in 14.
Pedroza would have gotten KOed. Regardless of the length of the fight, he isn't hearing the final bell.
I don't have a problem with that pick as I have met both men in person, but Steven had a pronounced mean streak in him, and he was more of a puncher IMO than a lot of folks give him credit for than he was a brilliant tactical boxer, which he also was. It was no secret that Steven liked the Heroin (which is why Papa Gregorio Benitez broke it off with him) but he would have had to be 100 percent to turn back Manny, which I think he would have been as when he made his mind up to train and live clean, he really did.
Lmao! DeJesus probably wanted to rise from his grave and hook this creep in his jaw for calling him Steven.
That was so annoying It's one thing to call Pernell Whitaker "Pete" because that's what everyone that knew the guy called him and the "Sweet Pete" crowd chant was the genesis of the "Sweet Pea" nickname... common knowledge among hardcore boxing fans But in 30 years of following this sport and shitloads of hours wasted/spent immersing myself in every scrap of history I could get my hands on, the only fuckhead I ever heard call DeJesus "Steven" is this deluded asscrack
