No comment, I’ve learned my lesson on revealing too much of my personal business. For the record, just because someone on here says they run shit in their home it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true.

Anthony cracks me up. Letting a woman have her way sometimes does not mean she runs the show. It’s a game we must play.

Don’t get me wrong, if you have a doormat wife that just follows instructions, all power to you. Most of us would love that scenario and we’re genuinely jealous....however in most cases marriage echos the powers that be versus the masses; give them something that seems like democracy so they feel they have a little power so that you prevent revolution. Lol

LOL. Or the restaurant, or their own clothes. Also never let them see or talk to their friends and family and certainly not any other guys. How’m I doing neanderthal?

Venom had a monster debut at $80.1 million domestically and $125 million at the foreign screens bringing the $100 million budget film to a profitable $205 million in just three days. This marks as the biggest October opening ever and Tom Hardy's biggest opening ever. Also it now ranks as Sony's #8 best debut ever. And by the RT Audience ratings of 89% it seems like people really liked the movie versus the lousy critics rating of 31%. Maybe those critics were part of the Lady Gaga fans campaign that were trashing 'Venom' hoping the Monster Mom's film will beat it at the box office. It didn't work. Well, at least the Gaga film, 'A Star is Born' got glowing critics reviews of 90% and 86% from audiences. That film took the second spot with a solid $41.2 million debut.

Everyone else shut it down because usually they don´t know a good movie when they see it.
Multiple Oscar winner / box-office smash.

A decent second place is not a box office smash. This movie cost only $36 million and will be profitable after it passes $72 million, which it will, but that is hardly a 'box-office smash'. if it makes over $200 million domestically you can call it that.

Pathetically obvious why this movie was so successful in shithole China:
    a) fuckin Chinese-produced
    b) it's full of Chinks.

Entertaining in a vague sort of way:
    5/10

Watched venom the other day out of sheer boredom and actually liked it. Laughed a fair few times, hardy is hardy constantly looking handsomely hungover, good action, great billionaire baddy. One of very few superhero films since dark knight that isn't pure toilet, 7/10.

I haven’t seen the whole thing. The CGI is awful but maybe it was cool in 3D. More cheap and goofy than I’d expect in a Venom movie but kind of fun from what I’ve seen.

Well we didn’t go see it at the theater but the missus did have me download it. I have to say, it was better than I expected and wasn’t bad. Had it been really good I would be kicking myself for not going to see it in the theater but that’s not the case.

My only real quibble with it was Tom Hardy. I actually like him as an actor but not for this movie. From the moment I first saw the trailer I never liked his portrayal of the lead character, and it may have been a big reason why I was so down on it initially. To me Hardy’s performance was distracting but it didn’t totally ruin the movie.

You nailed my exact reasons for not watching this film. I like Hardy on everything else, but not in this type of films.
