P4P, the two that immediately come to mind are Jackson-McClellan and Zarate-Zamora. Valdez-Briscoe also comes to mind.
They coulda probably had an 8-year-old girl as the ref in that fight. She could have jumped in to break them up, and gotten nailed with flush shots from both without getting hurt.
Biggest potential slapfest between two play dough fisted blokes; dorin-spadafora II or malignaggi-mostarda ?
Mike wasn't punching for shit by then. Lewis vs Vitali might be the last time two big guys who had the intentions and the wherewithal went at it in a meaningful way. Sanders vs Vitali too. Wlad vs AJ comes close but I am not sure Joshua is really this bomber people think he is.
Going back to the bantam weights, maybe Jofre vs Jose Medel. Medel was known as one of the biggest punchers in bantam history, and Jofre was a devastating puncher.
Top 4, at worst. I think the top 4 all time welterweight punchers are Hearns, Robinson, Cuevas, and Trinidad. Their order can be debated, but I definitely think that's the top 4.
Lewis and Vitaly racked up stoppages, a lot of stoppages, it doesn't say 1 punch power, it says POWER.
Graziano vs Zale in terms of two guys who had power and probably not too much else. Might be one of the more stacked MW fights, but Jackson vs McClellan probably takes the biscuit in this regard.
Benn vs McClellan...albeit Benn just wasn't a hitter at 168 like he was at 160. But they both were about power that night.
Absolutely not the ocaust you think. Tyson said Ruddock hit him harder than anyone he fought and Smith had a big KO rate at the time of his fight with Tyson, who himself was one if the biggest punchers at heavyweight....wasn't he?
Bone Crusher was a big puncher. Hell, Pinklon Thomas had a lot of pop too. Then of course, you got Bruno... Bruno was a devastating puncher. Mike wasnt exactly beating featherfists.
Zale was a good bodypuncher but I don't think he was that big a KO puncher, it's just that graziano had a lousy chin
No. But we arent trying to exceed Tyson-Lewis or McClellan-Jackson or the thread would have been closed after two posts.
Julian Letterlough vs Jirov and Enzo Mac vs Haye at Cruiserweight. Letterlough vs Jirov might just be the most loaded 190lb non-heavyweight fight of all times. Enzo could bang. It's the one thing he could really do. Haye likewise at 200lb had serious power.
