I don't think I've gone to any single movie in the theater more than three times. Here are the movies I've seen most.

    The Phantom Menace (3X)
    Inception
    Oblivion

I probably saw back to the future 6 different times when it came out ... just kept ending up in situations where a friend's mom or dad would decide to take them to a movie and I just happened to be there... so I kept going to see it

I think there might be one or two movies that I might have seen twice because of circumstance, like I saw a movie with one person and then my wife or daughter might also wanted to see it, so I went again, but I can't remember for the life of me, what those movies might have been.

"War Horse" I want to say, might have been one of them.

Pretty sure my parents took me to see "Close Encounters" when I was a wee lad, and then I recently went to see the re-release at the theatres.

    I have the record here:

*Enter The Dragon: 22 times from 1973-1976 (keep in mind there wasn't any VHS or 'home videos' available, so you have to go to theaters to rewatch your favorite films)
    Star Wars: 12 times
The Empire Strikes Back: 19 times
Return of the Dragon: 7 times
    The Chinese Connection: 6 times
Beneath The Planet of the Apes: 4 times

    * I need to add that with the advent of home video I bought my first VCR after Enter the Dragon aired on tv on 1983. I bought a blank VHS tape begged my cousin who had that technology already to record it for me. And when I finally had the money to buy a SONY VCR ($389.99) I watched that film almost daily for a year. Since then I watch the film once a year. So after the 100 viewing I stopped counting.

Ah believe you. Befoor we had a video player, we used tae watch any old black and white shite that wiz on tv; Charlie Chan, Tarzan, Cheap Westerns etc

The films Ah’ve watched the most (plus twenty times) are The Goonies, High Noon, Casablanca, Scrooge, Platoon and Star Wars A New Hope.

Tae answer Joe’s cinema question only ever been back tae see LotR ‘Fellowship of the Ring’ 3 times (once in German) and ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’ twice.

Alright, Ah might’ve watched ‘Titanic’ twice as well but dinnae tell anyone - Ah’m no a bufty!

I've also never seen a band or musical artist in concert more then once.

Granted, I haven't been to a ton of concerts.

    I just realized that. Weird.

I would think seeing any movie more than once in a theater would be uncommon simply because of the outrageous expense

    Exactly.
I mean, I was 5 years old when The King Of Marvin Gardens was released.
I saw it that year, assessed it....but didn't feel the need to watch it again at the cinema.

I went to two Stryper concerts, two Petra concerts and way too many Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz concerts to keep count.
