Jack and Degale were mediocre fighters no one cared about and no boxing fan was calling on GGG to fight them. At all.

Again, if you weren't interested in these fights, and thought that Jack and Degale were/are mediocre and easy fights for GGG, it simply show that you don't know much about the sport, and are more interested in seeing networks and promoters building superheroes than seeing compelling matchup

 

GGG and Canelo were two p4p level fighters and big names fighting in the same division. There was no logic for GGG to move up a division and fight guys no one cared about. This “boxing fan” bullshit doesn’t work because boxing fans didn’t care.

I saw them fight Medina and Bute live in front of a tiny half empty arena that was 3/4 empty by the time the fights were over. They looked like shit, they couldn’t draw a crowd and the people that showed up walked out on them.

Maybe if they had unified but they were so average they fucked that up.

People have pointed to the crowd booing as proof Degale struggled or even lost to Medina.
