Name performances (not necessarily wins) which revitalized a fighter's otherwise fading career.

    Duran/Barkley
    Morales/Maidana
    Adams/Ayala

    Others?

Those are all better examples than mine.

By the way, speaking of Adams, does anyone else think Bones deserved the nod over Kelley? I thought he won it.

Great example, but I just don't see how DoubleL Adams-Ayala fits . If it's the first fight, Ayala was favoured to win but it's Adams who defied the prognostic (and deserved to win in most people opinion), yet his career went into the gutter soon afterwrad. In the rematch it's Ayala who "revived" his career by clearly beating an undertrained nowhere but he accomplished 0 afterward (one sided losses to Morales and Barrera and a win vs a scrub).

Adams vs Nestor Garza would be far more appropriate.

Agree. Adams/Ayala was a bad example.

Fought once more after the Bailey defeat, another stoppage loss, then never fought again.

Jones looked very promising until the first Karass fight. Showed shades of a young Vernon Forrest.

But that first Karass fight, where he went life and death, was the writing on the wall.

    Dude just wasnt that good.
