Couldn't Davis risk facing an opponent who didn't fight less than a month ago?

    :D:D

Even Though Mares Called Out Tank YOU Accused him of Picking On Mares...And Now that Mares has Wasted EVERYBODY's Time, Pulling Out on 2 Weeks Notice w/a BRUISED Elbow, You're Giving Tank Shit for Not Facing a TOUGHER Replacement Opponent???...

Seriously Doub, , What LEGIT/"Risky" Opponent is Going to RISK Facing Tank Davis on 2 Weeks Notice???:D...You Expecting Someone to Unify w/Him w/LESS than 14 Days Prep Time or Something???...

Not Sure What Mares was Getting Paid, but REED's Quite Confident it was a Career High Purse...He Made 750k for the Santa Cruz Fight, So REED Would Guess He Stood to Make a Mil - 1.5mil for Tank, Minimum...After the Venue's ALREADY Been Booked, Tickets ALREADY Being Sold, Fight Posters ALREADY Printed, No Way in Hell Would a Promoter Shell Out 1-1.5mil for a REPLACEMENT Opponent...

You're Just BITCHING to Be Bitching Bruh...And You're Targeting the WRONG Motherfucker, No Less...

The Santa Cruz fight at the time was a much bigger fight than the Tank fight.

right. cuz the santa cruz fight is a much bigger fight. hence why it was at staples center vs stubhub center. also mares was coming off the LOSS to santa cruz. not exactly in a position of leverage to get a big fight.

    Not for MARES It Wasn't...

RISK/REWARD Doub, RISK/REWARD...No Way in HELL was Abner Getting LESS to Fight Tank Davis @ '30 Than he Did to Face Santa Cruz @ '26...

Why THE FUCK Would Mares Move Up to '30 to Face a Dude Walking Around in his '60's-'70's or HIGHER btwn Fights???...

It's a SHAME You No Loooooonger Post On Boxing Sites HONESTLY Anymore Neil, w/Out Your Built In Promotional ALLEGIANCES/BIASES Clouding Your Thoughts, Bruh...But Whatever...You'll ARGUE Otherwise in Your Response, But THE Reason REED Continues to Come AT You in That Way is Because the Shit is TRANSPARENT....

Mares' Name DIDN'T Suffer @ All Post-Santa Cruz...Santa Cruz Proved to Be Younger, Fresher, Busier...Period...

If You REALLY Think Mares Was Willing to Fight Tank Davis for LESS Than he Fought Leo Santa Cruz For, REED Doesn't Know What Else to Tell You Bruh...

I dont know why mares took the fight. it was a dumb idea, and it seems he thought better of it unless you believe the injury

My guess is he took it cuz it was an immediate payday while he didnt have any other options comin off a loss

Of Course he Had Options. Russell Jr? Rigondeaux?

Either of Those Would’ve Been Deemed SAFER Fights Than Tank Davis Would’ve Been.

If it stops him from extending his arm it could be an inconvenience for a boxer.

Mares is a washed up name opponent at this point. Not sure why Reeds talking like he’s in the driver seat and calling shots.

When Did REED Say Mares is a “Shot Caller” or in Any “Driver’s Seat”?

    Where?

You’re talking about all the other big fights he could choose instead of Davis and you’re saying there’s no way he’d take less than a mil because he made... less than a mil for another fight when he was a more relevant, credible opponent.

If Mares wants to make real money I would think he’s at the point where he has to take what he can get.

A late replacement having just fought or having a fight scheduled is usually a good thing, because he’s already in fighting shape. Are you saying Ruiz is damaged because he fought recently?

Russell jr would give mares a beating as well. Just probably wouldn't ko him as davis likely would

Who the fuck would be clamoring for a mares v rigondeaux bout ? :emoji_laughing:

Having a fight scheduled I agree. Having just had a fight? Obvious disadvantage.

You Have a Knack for NEVER Taking REED's Words as he Presents Them "Bruh"...

It's a FACT Mares Had Other Fights He Coud've Made...Mares is a PBC Fighter and There's a 0% Chance Russell or Rigondeaux Would've Declined a Bout w/Him...They'd Both JUMP On That Bout...

Beyond That, REED Said There's No Way Mares Would Take Less than a Mil to Move Up and Face Tank @ 130, After Making 750k for Santa Cruz 2...No MORE, No Less...Not Sure When, Where or How You Got "Drivers Seat", "Shot Caller" Shit Out of REED's Remarks...

Rigondeaux is my favorite active fighter but ain't nobody interested in seeing him in a big fight after what occurred vs lomachenko. And that would not be a big payday for mares
