State-funded, patriotic propaganda...but who cares? • it's World War II • it's Russia v Germany • it's tanks But the most awesome scene is this:
'1944. A courageous group of Russian soldiers managed to escape from German captivity in a half-destroyed legendary T-34 tank. Those were the times of unforgettable bravery, fierce fighting, unbreakable love, and legendary miracles' "для матери России!!!"
Yeah I did. Even though it wasn't perfect (no movie is, but it had bias toward Americans, technically incorrect at points, etc, Im nit-picking here), but I liked the subject matter, it was entertaining, had a good cast, good set-pieces and... it was the last movie I ever watched with my Dad before he died.
I dont think it's even showing in the West...yet. But bear in mind: heavy bias toward Russia in WWII and that Phantom Flex slo-mo camera effect on the clip...is all the best bits edited together I think.
