    Who is it?

    I really like Michael Shannon's work. Always real, always intense.

    Ben Mendhelson and Brendan Gleeson are always good too. There's something very 'human', very relatable about both of them.

    Really hard to say who's THE best, but Bale is probably the most talented.

    Yeah Maher is a real good actor. I also like the guy from The Wire/Boardwalk Empire with the scar. Very talented and intense actor.

    I think hes fucking awesome, always pushing out the boat, risking ridiculous. Who says 'good' and 'naturalistic' are necessarily synonyms, why cant you be stagey, impressionistic, kabuki, surreal? At least he's fun, anyway. He was legit amazing in adaptation by any criteria, too

    Cage is not the best actor, but he might possibly be the funnest actor around. He's one of the only actors that I might go out of my way to see an otherwise really shitty movie, just to see what he might do in it.

    He mails it in more and more nowadays, but when he doesn't, he is absolutely delightful.
