    Plus the stamina issue.

But I'm not gonna fool myself, Oscar brings a MUCH tougher test to the table than Mikey.

Cory Spinks may out-box Oscar, never mind Spence

    No. Just no.

Oscar would have fucked up Spinks.

Too early to tell. Spence seems to have all the attributes to compete with anybody but he hasn't faced an opponent close to that quality yet.

Forget about the usual things like speed and punching power. De La Hoya's jab alone is not something Spence has had to deal with.

It’s no easy task to jab a southpaw. Especially one with equal reach. And Spence isn’t the easiest of targets despite what the casual youngsters out there are saying.

Close, competitive fight. The style advantage Errol despite Oscar’s advantage in speed.

I could see DLH’s jab and footwork leaving Spence in the dust and I can see his left hook beating Spence’s straight to the mark and catching him blind and cold. Not saying that would necessarily happen but it’s easier to see than a scenario where Spence beats up Oscar at this point.

I know you have an agenda in trying to protect Quartey, but you're selling Spence's skills way too short if you think Oscar could just zip around and dominate him.

The way I see it, Oscar was faster than Spence with more explosive power, but Spence is more technically solid, and more versatile (can fight inside and out, Oscar couldn't infight for shit) and it definitely appears in my eyes that Spemxe is a better thinker. A lot more stamina too.

Both have traits that would cause problems for the other.

Saying Spence has better technique than prime DLH is a goddamn joke. Spence hasn’t had to adjust or think about anything. The closest was the Brook fight and he just broke him down.

What I’m saying is it’s it easier to see DLH dominating Spence with his attributes that we’ve never seen Spence in against than it is to see some scenario where Spence dominates DLH. That’s much more of a fantasy scenario at this point.

The weaknesses you see in DLH are the result of seeing him in against such a high level of comp. Spence has fought one top level guy and he showed a vulnerability to movement and a vulnerability to fast hands.

^^ This...Spence looks like he could dominate 147/154 for the next decade if he doesn't get lazy, fat n has to move up in weight.

If I have to pick now I say DLH knock him out...other than DLH power I have no other evidence to back it up...cause Spence hasn't been hit enough/by a puncher.

I think it would come down to Spence’s chin. If he can hold up under the De La Hoya’s power, I like chances of him outworking and outhustling De La Hoya down the stretch.

Trinidad was clearly weight drained against Oscar and while Oscar’s groupies will always claim that Oscar just “gave away” the final rounds, I always believed that what happened there was that Oscar was struggling to keep up with the pace that Tito was setting and thus he started getting hit more frequently.

A Spence that’s not only shape but not struggling to make 147 lbs could very well drain De La Hoya’s gas tank.
