I really think this film was rather lame in both story and action sequences. In that vein it kind of reminds me of Black Panther which other than Michael B Jordan’s performance has very few redeeming qualities and I think Captain Marvel has even less.

It’s funny how so many stand alone Marvel films have all been pretty mediocre lately yet they all still have the reputation of being outstanding. IMO, other than Thor Ragnarock and Dr Strange, none of the last few Marvel stand alone films have been good enough for me to want to sit through and rewatch from start to finish.

Here’s a list of the last stand alones I didn’t and won’t be rewatching from start to finish:
Antman, AM & The Wasp, Guardians OTG2, Spiderman HC, Ironman III, Black Panther and Captain Marvel.

I told you it was mediocre. and btw I agree with your list of non-rewatchable MCU films.

Well, apparently Moss-turd & Clogg took their families (and brought along all their neighborhood's illegal aliens) to watch 'Captain Marvel' this weekend as it cashed a solid $69.4 million bringing its global total to $760 million in just 12 days. At this pace it will finish its run with over $1 billion, which it is head scratching as much better MCU movies didn't reached those numbers while this lame PC turkey will join the top 5 highest grossing MCU films.

Yup. Trying to rationalize the mistakes of this film is pathetic. Marvel might later correct this problem, but the damage is already done here, which was totally unnecesary (except to push yet another political allegory of oppressed people doing justified terrorist attacks, refugees rights, etc).
