At least Mike could admit that Ali had more heart than him. And I dont think Mike LACKED heart, despite what his haters think, but there's levels.

I think Tyson cried because Ali is his hero and he recently died.

It's retarded to say Mike Tyson lacked heart imo, he showed it consistently throughout his career whenever he was challenged by much bigger man who did not fear him and tested him (Green, Bruno 1st time, Tucker, Ruddock). Even in his first 2 losses, he showed tremendous heart and an iron will to win. The only time in his career (apart from his last 2 losses when he was an old man who did not want to fight anymore) you could question it was the Bite Fight, but just as it was the case with Duran's No Mas, I layperson think it had more to do with frustration more than anything else and, more importantly, it was an isolated incident.

As for the interview, sadly I think it shows that Tyson stills suffers from bipolar disorder. I don't find it normal for a grown man to get so emotional when talking about another man he barely knew.

Funilly, I just read that Tyson suffered from untreated gonorrhea in his fight vs Berbick. It may explain how savage his demeanor was in this fight lol (this shit hurts)

Not sure about the last part. Tyson is living through his children, especially his daughter who is an aspiring tennis player.

Speaking of Ali, I alway's thought his skills as a trash talker were overrated (mostly because he kind of became predictable in his old years). But his poems about Sonny Liston were epics, probably the best trash ever used in any sport (starts at 7:10)

Tyson cried because he's a life time junkie. Chronic drug use makes people overly emotional

Tyson didn't lack heart, he lacked a plan B

Plan A beats 99% of the guys that ever fought which is why it doesn't really affect his ranking as one of the great heavyweights

He was most definitely spooked by Holyfield's resistance but it's not like he just quit, he absorbed a terrible beating while unsure of what to do to turn the tide

You could call the rematch heartless if you like but I think it was rage brought about by the frustration that it looked like it might turn out like the first one

Lacking heart to me is more a matter of courage than a matter of composure or confidence which was more Tyson's problem to me

Tyson wasn't a chronic junkie when cameras captured him crying and being consoled by Teddy Atlas as a teenager ... the guy is emotional

Yeah, Tyson was so much of a pussy that he was kicking Lewis' ass in sparring.

you'd expect a teenager to be an emotional mess, not a 52 years old man
