Anywhere from 2000-2002. So the Tyson that fought on the Euro tour vs. the Sanders that fought Rahman to Sprott
I won't make a pick, but I'll contribute with an expert breakdown. To win, Tyson should try to force his way inside and land some powerful hooks, since he is the shorter guy. Sanders would need to keep Tyson outside with his straight punches and prevent Tyson from getting close, as Sanders is the taller guy
If Sanders had good stamina he would have a very good chance. The version of Tyson in question was only good for a couple rounds. Corrie had an underrated chin and thunderous power that would definitely keep Tyson careful. Plus the southpaw stance would keep Tyson guessing. In this fight I see fireworks early then a after 2 rounds a slow plodding slug fest with Tyson breaking out a flashy combo and stopping an exhausted Corrie on the ropes in 6 rounds .
Tyson was smart. He very carefully handpicked his opposition in 2000, finding only scared bums to beat up on. He wouldn't want any part of Corrie Sanders. The types of guys Tyson was handpicking in 2000 and onward were mentally beaten scared lugs like Golota who just stood there, not doing sh*t and wanted to quit. Sanders hit a lot harder than Golota and was southpaw with serious power and handspeed. Tyson sucked in 2000 and onward.
LOL! Tyson wouldn't have had a flashy combo for a 6th round stoppage. Tyson would've been too tired to hold his arms up and his power would've depleted by mid-way into the fight.
Tyson had a lot of scar tissue on his eyes after the Holyfield fights. I could see some heavy lefts from Sanders shocking Tyson and opening up those cuts. But then again, why even do a mythical match on this when Tyson never wanted to face any real danger in 2000? Just handpicking f*cking bums nobody had ever heard of. Like he ever would've stepped in with a 6'5, southpaw powerhouse with 1 punch KO power like Corrie Sanders. LMFAO!!!
The Golfer could win if he survived the first 5, but I highly doubt he would. He wasn't very durable, and he didnt know what to do when hurt. That's not good against ANY version of Tyson. Mike in 3-4.
How many 6'5 southpaws with 1 punch power did Tyson fight? Tyson of 2000 and onward wasn't ever gonna step in against someone like Corrie Sanders. Tyson only wanted to fight scrubs and losers like Brian Nielson and Julius Francis. No way he ever wanted to take on Sanders.
Corrie Sanders was garbage. In 2000, Mike still had enough left in the tank to blast him. That was around the time that Sanders got battered by Rachman.
Sanders was far from elite. He would have to have the Lewis version of Tyson in front of him to have a chance.
Who did Tyson beat in that time period that wasn't already a zombie or just a scrub looking for some money? Honestly.
